O my god you people are so incredibly stupid it's shocking... the song is Otherworld by THE BLACK MAGES!!! Nobuo Uematsu's heavy metal band that does all the rock music for Final Fantasy games... Rammstien isn't even popular in Japan - why in the fuck would Final Fantasy use any song by him???

@namepending222 Correction. The Black Mages played music OF the Final Fantasy games. FFX was released in 2001 and the band The Black Mages didn't form 'till about 2002-2003

because Zanarkand is a machina city and during that time they were at war with Bevelle using machina that is considered "forbidden machina" later on. Sin destroyed many other cities like Zanarkand.

i'd like to think that i can pretty easily susupend my disbelief when it comes to movies and games, but c'mon. they obviously don't think too highly of their fans. i mean, they say that they just hold their breath for a long time. i would understand if they were like "hey, its the future or another dimension wtvr, and we've invented a liquid that you can breathe in! whoopee!" but the holding of the breath is a bit ridiculous.
