  • yes. Mirage (1974)

  • this rules.

  • Saw them in 1977 at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts...........Played some of this album, but mostly Raindances..........Great!......love all the early stuff especially!

  • man they just don't make music like this anymore

  • sounds alot like David Gilmour at 1:25

  • Moon madness is the only album from camel, I know complete, I´ll hear all of them I badly can wait xD

  • thumbs up if your dad made you listen to camel.

  • @mypossiblepasts I make my dad listen to Camel.

  • 0 dislikes for a Camel song. Just the way it should be! :)

  • great song, cheers from México City.

  • love this track brada

  • "Another Night" is the easiest way to make things alright :P

  • I can't be the only one who found Camel through Opeth, right? Love it.

  • @x0AuG0x You're not alone ;) ... Found out about a lot of the 70's prog band from Mikaels radioshow on swedish national radio where he goes through his vinyl collection.... So glad I found out about music like this!

  • @x0AuG0x I did too. Mikael is a mega fan, and I usually enjoy the music he recommends (found Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson via Opeth as well). So I gave Camel a shot. And loved 'em. I can definitely hear a huge Camel influence in Opeth's music. It's a shame because a lot of their more metal audience won't check out a 70s prog band. Progressive metal can be a good gateway drug, if you will, into straight up classic prog rock. It worked for me!

  • It is awesome that you are getting Camel's music out there for all to hear! I almost abandoned rock about five years ago after I heard so much of the same stuff for 24 years until I first heard Camel. It took 23 years for my dad to turn me on to this. Two decades wasted.

  • Thanks for adding this. :D

  • pinche bandón!!! =D

  • oh god! great song

  • i bought this album (moon madness) when it came out. camel should've gotten more airplay but they didnt. i also have mirage, i can see your house from here, dust and dreams, and breathless. moon madness is their best in my opinion.

  • RnB= rythem and bass. this = rythem passion and feeling RPF

  • camel= feeling+pasion

  • is very weird.....behind all the song of Camel, I hear something... with

    feeling and passion.

Camel, my favourite prog band (well with rush, King crimson, yes)

  • i really love this song, it's amazing , for parts reminds me the abba sound, just this song, great band!

  • essence of the romantic, horror and wonder of being human -- being from the clouded rain forest... can relate to the cloudy bipolar, the full moon wolf hunt for joy -- prescience ...? what happens to the human mood if a cloud of climate change takes the sky in more and more of our niche?

  • @davidfaubion Wow did you make that up or are you quoting? Either way it's great!

  • This is awesome! I was just going through my old albums (yes, vinyl) stored for over 20 years and found this hidden treasure. Really glad I found it on Youtube 'cuz I don't think my record player works anymore. I used to play this all the time back in the day. Thanks for posting.

  • gosh they rock ... and nail experience, perhaps what we might know when we get below our skin

  • That introit: compellingly unique, dramatic, classic, epic as is the hallmark of Camel

  • Really great song

  • Just heard one of Camel's songs a few nights ago... And they're one of the greatest, most unique rock bands I've ever heard. They're like an Arabian version of Pink Floyd!

  • @AmplifyedGuitarist Except they're not Arabian. They're Englishmen, from England... Don't be fooled by the "Camel" name, they are not Arabians ;)

  • @Wuthafukevr Oh, I wasn't talking about where they were from... I was more just referring to the style of music they play.

  • Gracias CameLatimer Por Compartir Esta Exelente Banda

  • I love this for 25 already.

They don't make it like this anymore.

  • ive bought mirage, moonmadness and rain dances....the one i like best is mirage but moonmadness is awesome if ur feeling sad

  • One of the Best Prog Band ever.Everythingis good.

  • I got the same record since the 70's as a kid

  • the one that that answers the comments is andrew latimer??is that you andrew??

  • Hi Andy,

Glad to see you putting out Camel songs for the world to hear. I just posted "Fingertips" on Facebook and four friends immediately liked it, 3 ladies and a gent. I'm glad your store is open again. I like buying Camel music and t-shirts. I have all studio albums plus some CDs and DVDs. Had a great time hearing you in California at the Coach House and Belly Up. Best wishes and health to you, Susan, family, and friends. Jeff

  • EXCELENTE.

  • Thanks for posting - my vinyl is about worn out!

  • From the Year 1977 that i've listened to Camel's music and specially Andy's sound and style,i have not listened to anything else that could give me the kind of feeling that someone gets by listening to their music.

    Best solo,summer lighting.!

  • love this song.

  • Hey Latimer when is going to be Camel joined again?!

  • I stil got there record can't find it, cause I have plethora of records.

  • The word 'Anthem' is horribly trivialised these days but the lead theme on this is massively evocative of all that was good in music around this time.

Camel - You made my life just a tiny bit richer. Thanks guys.

Latimer thanks for reminding me I need to buy a good quality CD of this album (and Snow Goose too).

  • This is one of their greatest albums ! along side stationary traveler ? 1976 was an amazing year for rock ! rush 2112 and the classic al stewart year of the cat ! amoung many .. superb bands !!!

  • these two are my faves too, stationary is so great!!with diferent music..but also magical:)

  • I love this band so much its unbelievable. Always listening to them at the garage when practicing and stuff ;P

    Latimer your a god mate

  • love this song of of camels best apart from spirit of the water, mirage, nimrodel, and all of snoose goose lol :P

  • i heard that Snow Goose is better than this, but this songs are so good!

  • It depends on whether or not you like instrumental music (which the entire Snow Goose album is). I love both. I couldn't put one above the other

  • Want to go back to the nights of the 70's, life was better before.

  • this and Song Within a Song are my fav of MoonMadness

  • Camel is amazing, i'm just getting into them and this album is my fav so far. Is there an album that is better that i'm missing?

  • Well, in my opinion, the albums from Dust and Dreams up until A Nod and a Wink are better. Also, give Nude and The Snow Goose a listen. Mirage is well worth a listen as well.

  • the first self titled is great too, don't miss it

  • @Semenofthefall Check out Breathless.

  • @Semenofthefall

In a word: No. This is it if you're looking for Camel's best Album, but All the others are all very worthy too with some individually outstanding tracks to look out for, especially... "Echoes", "Summer Lightning" (Breathless), a few on "Rain Dances" too, to name one or two...

  • @Semenofthefall What about Harbour of Tears or the Snow Goose?

  • @Semenofthefall

Yeah man. You are missing the best albums (from my point of view). Check em out

    -Camel

    -Mirage

    -The Snow Goose

  • @Semenofthefall The first is my favorite.... but it seems every camel fan has there own taste on the subject. although, We do all generally agree that the early works are the best!

  • @Semenofthefall moonmadness is awesome but i love mirage more

  • @Semenofthefall Mirage Mirage Mirage Mirage Mirage !

  • @Semenofthefall mirage.......

  • @Semenofthefall My favourites are: Camel, Mirage, Snow Goose, Moonmadness, Harbour Of Tears, Rajaz and A Nod And A Wink, are those I can play from beginning to end, the rest are just good, some better than others but I would only note those albums...

  • @Semenofthefall Mirage, Snowgoose, Raindances, Rajaz, Nude and this are all great! Those are the only ones I've heard so far, though! lol

  • @JimSVoit Their first album Camel is well worth a listen too.
