@sn299 As far as i know, it's a mixture of the "image" and the fact that there is so much out there as far as music programs for Mac.

At least that used to be the case, now i think its just for the image.

Apple make the software to go in the computers they make....it's a complete system and people in music and graphics have recognised this stability for years.

@a1user1or1so play about with it and find out yourself. he uses a delay (echo) and freeze (keeps delay at same volume and repeats until edited). it's not hard to do if u play with it for a minute

Galleran: 5.5 latency?! You kidding, rite? I run my TSP on 1.1 latency on my Mac with zero probs! 3 years of DJing with this set-up and counting. There's a good, valid reson why people DJs with Mac. It's not always the "cool" factor.

It works pretty good with Windows 7! I'm using Traktor Scratch Pro on a Samsung R519 Notebook with the Audio 8 and I have 5,5 ms latency on Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit. So yeah, it works! NO ONE needs an expensive Macbook to run this!

PS: I paid 450,- Euro for my Samsung.

Anybody that knows anything about Shiftee ( being the DMC Champ and all) or has seen him perform live knows that there is nothing lacking in the guys skills as a turntablist. The fact that he takes this much time to set up a mix just goes to prove that he really cares about what every dj should care about first.....and thats makin the crowd move. Push up Shiftee! @defcreator I don't use computers to DJ but the technology is cool and it is fun. I agree on your way as I play mostly vinyl (and CDs to supplement) - what's going on here is so much prep work for just 1 tune - if it's something you play alot I understand. I'd still rather do it the old school way - where being a good scratcher or good at dropping an acapella was a sign of a better DJ. What we have above is way too much prep beyond picking good tunes and having skills.
