  • I think in the next Legend of Zelda game, Link should get a minihang. >:D

  • I surmise that if someone were having an unpleasent experience on some sort of tryptamine, and they were handed one of these to play with, they would become blissful in their state.

  • super muzyka. I interesujacy instrument. BTW dziekuje nieznajomemu z pociagu dzieki ktoremu dowiedziałam się o tym instrumencie :-) :-)

  • simply fabulous

  • I heard a Hang, live for the first time yesterday. Where have I been that I never knew this instrument existed? It's awesome, beautiful, sends shivers down my spine.

  • l have GOT to have one! l love it!

    -Another Rosslyn alumni

  • i love this

  • Its quiet in the forest.

If dude on the rock farted, the camera mic would pick it up and yes, there's a lot of stuff for sound to reflect off of, unlike a sea side setting, where even the salt in the air hampers sound travel.

  • Maravilloso!!! Maravillosos!!! Que seria de nuestros oidos sin musica?

  • wish i was there!

  • that was nice .

  • What has this video got to do with the music we hear in it? These are 2 different things!

  • the music is coming from the hang drum :)

  • look closely. it's not.

  • look closely it is

she is tapping it lightly which makes a softer sound that is hard to hear over the background noise

    :)

  • eehh, i looked closely, and i still don't think it's actually the same audio. it wouldn't be that loud, regardless, since the thing is pretty far from the camera. watch some of those "beach" hang drum videos, those are real audio from the scene, and you can just barely hear the drum. i still don't think it's the correct audio, tho it's meant to look like it.

  • the meusic and player are slightly out of time i think they are slightly diffrent but whats wrong with that its sill good meusic

  • "Frances playing the hang drum with the rocks and trees..."

Sorry, maybe Frances is playing, but that's not what we're hearing. It's good music, but it ain't Frances in the woods.

  • An ocean is WAY noisier than a forest. The constant white noise of the ocean works like those noise-cancelling headphones: it kind of "swallows" any other sound. The camera that recorded this video has good sound capture, you can hear the footsteps at the end of it, when the person that was recording starts to move around a bit. I think the sound is not fake. The video and sound are slightly out of sync, but the playing coincides with the music.

  • The audio is only from the hang drum. There are cliffs that sound reflects off of. I Don't understand people like you.

  • what? people with eyes and ears? don't get offended, for christ's sake. even if that is the actual audio for the video, the sound and video are not in sync. maybe you should post better quality next time.

  • That's youtube's problem, not mine. Find something better to do than try to discredit videos and label them frauds. Google: "new hobbies"

  • i loooove listening to hang music, but the majority of the people who play it are just ridiculous to listen to when they talk.

  • what a place for mushrooms.

    heavenly.

  • yup

  • (: (:

  • dude, this is so groovy. I mean, like, I can totally feel your vibes through this screen of computer man, like the chi is all there guys, so awesome.

  • Artemicarus, ur crazy man that makes no sense at all

  • hahaha

    yea

  • makes me think of zelda for some reason

  • I can like, feel the power of the energy crystals and stuff.

  • what....?

  • This is for you Ged. John Wind Surridge.

  • i love it! one of my favorite by far. definately catches the sound of the forest.

  • nice!!!

  • By far the most beautiful Hang Drum music on YouTube!

  • That looks just like the forest and rocks on a trail off Dutch Point Park in Hampton, NB. Magical place, like this...

  • Thanks for posting this. I love the sound of those drums, and where were you guys at? It looks like where Im from. Winona, Mn.

    Trevor

  • Beautiful; the only thing missing are a few forest pixies to fly around...Man that's awesome.

    respect.

  • Very Beautiful Thing Praise to the Creator

  • Filippo Marinetti and the futurists would be proud.

  • So beautiful and calming. I love the hang drum

  • Can I ask a pedantic question? What scale is your hang? I like it so much! Such a harmonious way to spend an afternoon. Peace.

  • hey i like this drum..were can i buy this?

  • you have to write to the company and make an appointment to go there (scotland) and they cost around $2,000 american dollars in 2008 they company said its a recently new instrument (2005) so the price is still rising... i plan on getting one within a year or two

  • its SWITZERLAND not scotland... totally different country !!!

  • And also. Wonderful playing! Those of you that are anti-technology do realize that the Hang Drum is a new invention! Not saying it requires technology to create(I do not know those facts) but chances are those who created it would have not had the opportunity to do so. It was not created in the times that you wished still existed. And Minnii333 you are really taking initiative to rid of technology by spending your time on YouTube!

  • This is Zen HANG :-)))

  • amazing music and local

  • cool

  • back to primitive... we need to be trully humans and use our bless and curse (inteligence) to stop this global dehumanization

  • We needn't regress so far as to shun intelligence. Need I repeat some history lessons on the Dark/Middle Ages? =P I'd rather not live through that.

  • maybe... but anyway that were the times when we could make the difference, in those ages there was a lot of knowlegde (the alchimists, for example) that now is lost, because of the church and the money power that was completly erased from history.. i really think that we should live it all over again and learn some new lessons, but thats not possible, so... back to the julge (when the global warming reaches that point of its now or never) lol...

  • You bring up some good points, but society simply can't go back (not willingly, at least). Besides, reverting back to old ways would be like embracing ignorance. We need to keep our knowledge in science, medicine, so on, lest the modern world fall in choas. And then what? We become primitive, monkey-like 'societies' with nothing to fight over but territory and the grove of banana trees (basically today, but far less civil).

  • and ignorantes are we all right now, thinking we are god likes and the masters of the earth when at least we aren't smarter then the dinossaurs.. our governments, publicity and big companies rulle basicly the only thing we have the right to rulle that is our own inteligence and freedom of choice.when i said, back to the jugle i meant that we should learn to live without industry, computers, tv, environmental harmfull objects, churches, this kind of democracy (lol)...

  • sorry!!! marked as spam by mistake i wanted to hit reply :S:S:S:S .. anyway.. i know what you mean, but what i wanted to say, is that the only way to avoid global warming and the total distruction of mankind and all species is to distroy this kind of industry (basicly go back to before industrial revolution), and we never go back to ignorance because the knowledge is already here..

  • Yes we really need to change our ways! Just forget all that technology has given us, such as increased life expectancy, you know better lives. And are you a scientist? Didn't think so. Because you haven't looked at the facts about "global warming?" What do the facts show us? Well that "Global warming" is not happening because of humans. If you don't believe me then send me ONE fact that is true about the Global warming doctrine.

  • somebody kill the crickets! :P

  • forget about ipod,mp3 players, let's back to our human roots

  • Love that sound, great tune, this brings me peace! Thanx

  • that was great, thanks for the video.

  • check out the hang drum played w/ violin!

  • It was very soothing and gentle... Thanks

  • wow, that's really beautiful! Nice

  • nice music and nice boulder to climb!

  • Where people buy this kind of instruments?

  • I wanna go there and jam with you and the trees! Wow...thanks for sharing. Beautiful.

  • beautiful

  • What a sweet, gentle feminine energy you bring to the hang. Bravo. What scale is this hang? I love your song. I was playing my native Amer flute to it. Have you recorded with the hang? Would love to trade CDs with you if you have.
