To be honest I feel most western special forces teams could learn a lot by adopting Soviet style tactics in these situations. You watch videos of typical American SWAT teams slowly inching up to buildings and taking their time. Watch some eastern bloc special forces doing exercises and its people blowing out windows then throwing up ladders while dudes with pistols VAULT into the building. Surprise and speed are the cornerstones of Soviet military tactics.

@Polenar That's true enough. Hopefully one would never have to resort to those kinds of tactics, but perhaps Eastern tactics applied with a Western mindset would be a good combination.

you people only see the old style wall flood techniques on COD and nayv seals TV shows and thin that everyone should do it like that

this ently was done with a (simulation) flashbang, the first guy has front sector and his job is to go into the depth of the room - that way he is out of the fatal funnel and the 2. and 3. guy can clear corners

this is a modified technique using the best from the wall flood and the room flood technique

@headshotmeistro Your and idiot.He isn't in anyone of his teams lines of fire because they are covering different sectors of the room.His job is to clear and engage any threats through the center of the room,especially if they are behind cover.Not every room is structured the same or the same size,so different formations are applied in each scenario.

you came in the room wrong you need to come in in a line not all at once and stay against the wall dont run into the middle of the room

actually we have done it completely correct

you have to get as many man as possible into the room in the shortest time possible - the point is to overwhelm the enemy with force and people so he cant react or shoot at everyone

also you have to get out of the "fatal funnel" (in this case the doors) as quickly as possible

the first man went into the depth of the room and others did the "wall flood" to clear the corners and provide the backup for the main man

its a backup knot that can grip the main rope and stop the decent if i let go of it
