  • thumbs up if you watched the first part of the movie the twilight zone before coming to this page!!!

  • 2:12 bg as in background music?

  • I LOVE THIS EPISODE AND ANN FRANCIS WAS SO CUTE :-)

  • @arius247 Good day

Yes I agree! I saw it on TV 20yrs ago

Ann Francis I recall from 1970's & 80's TV shows.

She passed away last yr if my memory is correct

  • What kind of store has a complaints department?

  • What kind of store has a complaints department?

  • Born 1996.

    Damn.

    I missed everything.

  • The primary sponsor of this episode, 'tricianfred', was Kimberly-Clark's Kleenex tissues, with the last commercial reserved for the "alternate sponsor" {as in, "Rod Serling, creator of 'THE TWLIGHT ZONE', will tell you about next week's story, after this word from our alternate sponsor"}, General Foods' Sanka coffee. There was a "sponsor's tag" at the end of the episode, reminding viewers to watch Kimberly-Clark's "WANTED- DEAD OR ALIVE", "tomorrow night- over most of these stations".

  • I sort of know what your talking about but I feel as though I've been in mezzanine but don't exactly remember where I could have been. Thanks for telling me!

  • Thanks for telling me Lisa but what is a mezzanine?

  • @applefan2151 A mezzanine can be thought of as a floor within a floor. Imagine being on the ground floor of a mall, and taking an escalator to a higher level, that has a half wall made of glass. There are tables and chairs there and people eat while looking down on the lower part of the floor where people are going in and out of stores. Make sense?

  • @lisabball thanks for telling me and also what is the mezzanine?

  • The corsage / carnations on the lapels of Mr. Sloan and Mr. Armbruster are a terrific detail added. Such caring with regards to appearance and formality in the long-gone days of departments stores of the 50's/60's. I love it, and wish it were that way today. Imagine going to Target or JCPenney's and seeing this devotion to service and appearance by the store management.

  • It's Anne Francis

  • B = basement, G = garage (or ground), M = Mezzanine and R = roof (or could = rear door.)

  • I wonder what the b, g, m, and r mean on the elevator gauge.

  • I thought she meant $2000 i was like whaaat

  • Oh, Rod. We miss you.

  • Wow, 20 something dollars for gold anything is unreal, um take me back to that time for a couple hours!

  • this is one of my favorite episides

  • her eyes are SOO pretty

  • My all time fav Twilight Zone episode right here :)

  • This is the most frightening twilight zone I've seen. Its just so bone chilling when they start talking to her and she slowly freaks out. I made a horror film somewhat inspired by this episode. I also have to agree that Anne Frances is one smoking hot lady! RIP Anne.

  • The dress Ms. Allen is wearing must be the only type ever thought of. Never seen a collar that flares out so far from the neck like something of the future.

  • She is so beautiful. Her pouty defiance is also attractive on her. Ahhh pencil skirts!!

  • ~they are all of them" MANNEQUINS!!!!~O:|~and I,m a Mannequin too!!!~

  • ~they are all of them" MANNEQUINS!!!!~O:|

  • ~I myself think there ALL" Mannequins!!~O:

  • You see, Marsha is a mannequin, and the saleslady is too. The elevator man, he too is a manniquin. They are dropping hints to Marsha that she is not a human being, but she doesn't get it. Mr. Sloan is the store manager (and so, not a mannequin). Armbruster is too spastic to be a mannequin, of course, but perhaps he should be turned into one. And the whole gang on the 9th floor, later in the episode ... all mannequins.

  • Elizabeth Allen not only beautiful like Marsha, but they both had Great Class in their own right. In this era they both would have put television today to SHAME!! Elizabeth Allen, had uniquness about her grace and charm!!

  • The saleslady, Elizabeth Allen, was a real looker in this episode! Ooo, Baby!!

  • Best Twilight Zone ever!!

  • @spershall Definitely one of the best! Mannequins are really frightening when they start talking!

  • It is sad that she is gone now. R.I.P Anne Francis.

  • Marsha is beautiful, but the mysterious saleslady is definitely nice-notice the repeated camera angle (4:06 to 4:13)of her blind spot, is repeated angle through this entire episode, and her high collar dress. I'm impressed more with the saleslady.

  • I'd love to see the commercials that were shown back then....

  • Miss you, Anne.

  • Mr Armbruster, what happens on the ninth floor......

    Oh, I see, I see...

  • It's none of my business.

  • To the ninth floor!!

  • too bad women dont dress like her anymore

  • she is okay loookint guys they are better looking woman and if u dont like this post then dont u dare say anthing mean to me if it is not mean then u can post

  • SHE LOOKING AWESOME AND WHITH GREAT SENCE OF HUMOR PRETTY LEGS FEET

  • Another great TZ episode is "The Lateness of The Hour". Another thriller with a pretty lady.

  • R.I.P Anne Francis, This has always been my favorite episode of The Twilight Zone, She was so beautiful ,I always thought she looked just like the 1960's Barbie Doll.

  • on't you just love some of these old TZ. We never got them here in Australia, 'cept for those cheezy fucking 80s crap. What we got instead was that stupid bloody Wallaby, Skippy WHO WAS NOT A BUSH KANGAROO and what that got to with TZ, I don't know...think I better get back to watching this...

  • Anne was 80 when she passed away, 'Joel'. When she filmed this in the spring of 1960, she was 29 [she hadn't reached "30" yet; it happened that September].

  • @fromthesidelines Yes, she was 29, three months from turning 30, but she was still amazing.

  • R.I.P. Miss Anne Francis ("Marsha White"). Watched her this past weekend during TZ marathon. She also played title role of "Jess-Belle," a girl who transforms into jaguar because of witch's curse

  • JUST HEARD THAT ANNE FRANCIS DIED :( Marsha!

  • Marsha is sexy! She looks like a librarian without glasses. :D

  • The actress is Anne Francis. Best remembered for playing Glenn Ford's wife in "Blackboard Jungle" (1955). She's been battling cancer in recent years. This was her second guest appearance on TZ. She also did episodes of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents".

  • My sister is terrified of this episode. She's in college now, but our whole family still likes to freak her out by whispering "Marsha. Marsha."

  • @ViciousRiceX hA! like she'd let ya...))

  • She's so beautiful, the main character in this episode.

  • Best twilight episode ever.

  • I would have told the woman to shut up

  • why would she walk out into an empty floor? most people would have stayed in the elevator and told the operator to bring them back down. people in tv shows are dumb.

  • I had a recurrent nightmare as a child, of being shut up and alone in a dept store after hours and no way to get out, I don't know if this was before I saw this TZ or as a result of it. Very powerful and scary episode thank you so much for posting!

  • The woman with the black hair is damn sexy.

  • this is one of the creepiest episodes of the Twilight Zone, and there's been a lot of creepy ones.

  • this is sooo catty..

but it's really cool because it's old fashioned catty

  • OMG SHE IS STUNNING BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • @BossyGirlEnt Yes, Lord she was beautiful!!♥

  • @BossyGirlEnt isnt she? i wish i looked like that. no such luck :-(

  • @BossyGirlEnt Yes Anne Francis is, as well as the lady who played the saleswoman. The elevator man is also very handsome. He reminds of Ed Harris. :)

  • Fantastic actress. Very beliveable reaction at 6:32 - 6:50

  • It was 50 years ago tonight, when I saw this as a soon to be 10 year old.I was frightened beyond belief.Jan Brady wasn't the first to utter:"Marsha,Marsha,Marsha"

  • @rentslave Wow ............so that means ur old enough to have fought in Vietnam back in 1974 and driven a Delorean in 81 when it came out for the first time

  • @Lordmij I had a friend who was killed in Vietnam in 1968.While I could never afford a Delorean,I did drive my sister original Mustang from 1964 when I got my license in 1967.

  • @ImDavidGurney Bitter sweet :)

  • @rentslave You are lucky to born in the generation of 50s...Today's world is full of materialism
