RROD Towel Trick?

please help me I did the towel trick and it worked Im playing it for 4 hours already since this week and I still didn't get the red ring do you think I should let the professionals check it inside because its free

@jerichojoel Yeah, the towel trick isn't a permanent fix. I had to do it just about every time I wanted to use my xbox. Usually I had to do it once or twice a day if I wanted to use it that much. I eventually did have to send it in to get it fixed and they did a good job but it take quite awhile for them to send it back if you send it in to Microsoft. About a month. I hope I helped! :)

after you done the towel trick the reason it wouldnt show the green lights is because you need to have the tv/av or hdmi cable plugged in. but watch out if you leave it unplugged and turn it on and leave it for too long it will get four red rings

@Oscardelpiero1995 Well, this problem has been solved for a while now, so I don't really remember how many times I did this, but if I had to guess I would say it was probably about at least15-20 times before I got around to sending it in to Microsoft to have them fix it. Which, by the way, takes them about a month to get it back to you even though they say it will be about 2 weeks. Good luck! :)

1. plug ur ps3 in to ur ac power cord

2. turn ps3 on

3. hold the power button for 10 sec no longer or wont work

4. heat up using a hair dryer

5. plug hdmi or av scart in to t.v

6. leave for 30seconds

7. turn on and wat do u no ur playing mw2 or bfbc2 once again

umm turn it on with cold towels wrapped around it thats what i did and it worked i used slightly damp cold towels and had a fan blow on it and it worked fine

Hey you forqot to reconnect the controller. You press the little circle button with the arrows to reconnect your controller. Thats why you didnt have any rinqs.

you messed up, you were suppose to lay it down and alow it to cool for about 10 mins. You need to allow the molten soder joints on your gpu to harden again, you however tiped it up immdiatly and now the wont make contact with the board anyomore.

Hey I discovered that the towel trick really did work! All I needed was to leave it alone and then plug in my AV cable and it worked!
