its not vtechE, it VTEC-e and yes those motors are made for economy only... better fuel economy. Lots of people try and mod that 70hp motor cuz it says vtec on it... I think it comes in the Civic cv or vx hatch...
and by the way, there a good amount of d-series sohc that are pushin 300+whp of course with internal work and good tuning but they are out there. And they don't need to have freakin 500+ hp in that fwd cuz after a certain point a lot of the power just isn't useable anymore unless they only plan on straigh line performance. and props on the scooby btw...
and by the way, there are many d-series single cam that are pushing 250+ at the wheels of course with some internal work but its been done. Doesn't take that much power to make em fast cuz they're so light.
