I had an issue with the vocals at first, too. But after listening to their music more, the vocals fit seamlessly into the ultimate ambiance of the record and now, I wouldn't wish them to be altered in any way.

I don't know why people are arguing the guitar solo doesn't fit. It's totally in the same key as the rest of the song, I think it's just tonally it's quite contrasting. But I fucking love it, thick, dirty, filthy fuzz right there.

@thegranitebison Like I said. It just doesn't seem like they have a really defined vocalist. It's more like chanting then sing (which is okay but it would get repetitive). It boils down to preference though. I like those modern day prog singers that can hit the high registers (i.e. Claudio Sanchez, Chris deCinque, and so on and so forth). It's like having a bunch of modern day Geddy Lee's walking around, lol. Despite the vocals I like the over all atmosphere of the song, though.

Truth be told there have been bands out there that I have actually enjoyed, because of the vocals being a bit "off". Take the Cure for instance. Robert Smith is a great musician over all, but if he ever auditioned for American Idol I'm sure he'd be laughed at. But that's not gonna stop me from listening to "Friday I'm In Love" everytime it comes on the radio.
