At a recent Comic-Con, Both del Toro and Perlman voiced their interest in doing another movie. Del Toro stated that it would only be possible if he can make this one big. .....from wiki i don't know if this is true or not or if things changed or not ...i hope not

A BPRD film series would be very cool. The comics are excellent. But I want a Hellboy 3 first. They forshadowed possible future events duering the "Angel of Death" scene and the Zinco Epilogue.

I think Del Toro needs to direct the next Hellboy film since he's done such an amazing job creating the atmosphere for the films. So I'm pretty sure thats whats holding it up. Del Toro has a lot of stuff on his plate and Hellboy just isn't a top priority (Even though IMO it should be) . Too bad too.
