Hi there! Need some advice! I've got stock GPZ, not turbo, tell me please about rear wheel. I'm gonna swap it from stock to 17" one on stock swingarm, from what bike should I use the rear wheel to fit it without global cutting and borring? if you know something tell me please, at least the model of the rear wheel. @cilazzr Hi there, its got Yamaha YZF 1000 EXUP front forks, but i think the yokes are custom made so i'm not sure if the original exup yokes will fit.
have you popped the top and checked valve clearances, and make sure the collets holding the cams on are secure, mine made a similar sound when one had snapped in half..
It turned out to a be the slack in a spun bigend bearing letting the piston hit the head! :( Can't grind the cranks as you can't get oversize shells so i'm having to source a new one. Just my luck!
Doubt it's cam chain, that would make more noise at idle or low revs. Sounds horrible! Very nice bike otherwise, makes me want to drag mine out of the corner of the garage. Do you have any more information on your bike? I'm looking for ideas as to the re-birth of mine.

working on the same thing myself... Check out the website 750turbo.com. It should give you some info. doesn't seem to be an easy one though...

if you pull a plug wire 1 at a time you can see if it is it shouldnt knock when it has no spark. and can tell wich cylinder it is.
