  • Mr Wolf has amazing intonation on the soprano. It's the hardest of the common saxophones to play. Bireli always chooses good musicians to play with him. So when you go to see him play, you know you get the whole package and not just a really good jazz guitarist with a so-so band.

  • Noo! men .... Benson is soo good as bireli, you must listen the 2010 way of playing of Benson,, he plays more complex harmony than bireli, im not saying who is the best, both of them are just great! And both have the same influences of Wes, and Charlie Christian, maybe Bireli is more virtous, but I dont really know

  • George Benson? What? George is very good, but Dude do not compare him to Bireli. Maybe Norman Brown, but not Bireli.

George is "basic" in his approach and thousands of cats can play his style. But Bireli, us guitar players stand back in awe of his abilities.

  • @markatier Could not agree more! But say like... Wes Montgomery. Of course not as fast (come on, he used the thumb!), but god damn he was a skilled pioneer. George Benson says he's one of the biggest influences he has had. But over to Bireli again, I don't think he gets enough credit, he is a freaking GOD!

  • lol, all george benson influenced....? really? ok.... Bireli is a freak of nature, in my opinion, the most versatile and possibly greatest exponent of the guitar in the world today. george benson? I dont think this man needs to think in scales. pure invention. start at Django then add everything else pick out the best and you will find Bireli.

  • One of the my fav from Move. *****

  • it's cool to see Bireli's right hand in action, great shots !

  • Hi folks, can someone tell what scale He is using?

  • That's pretty funny...

    All of them!

  • In some points, basic major scales; in some points bebop scales; in some points, diminished arpeggios; I heard Neapolitan major once or twice; the fun part is figuring out where & also when the tune switches up & down by half steps.

  • all George Benson influenced stuff....

  • Oh yeah, he said in many interviews that he loved Benson; also, of course, MacLaughlin...

  • how you hear major bebop and dominant

  • The song is called Hungaria. Composed by Django Reinhardt

  • Bireli is a legend. Always will be. One of my favorites!
