@LeeGee1983 You put them on the front of the helicopter to make it go faster, they change the center of gravity. sometimes I use clay as well.

I have that white little copter. But it doesn't have enough power to be on air for 2 minutes. 1 minute it's flying well, but after few seconds it starts to go lower and lower even if I pull the thing(don't know its name) all the way up. (sry bad English)

@LegoTechPlane sometimes you need to cycle the battery, charge it up, then discharge it then recharge it a few times just don't drain it all the way down, these batteries can be easily damaged, also watch my video about how to fix your rc helicopter, you may have a problem with grinding gears or a broken gear.

that heavy paper body would be good for practise as the heli will go slower and its movements will be more like a full scale heli and therefore more predictable.

@WhatYouGotZ If you start you heli off the ground and all you touch is the throttle and it spins you need to check the trim. Your controller should have a trim nob, when you have it hovering turn the nob and you will see it straighten out.

I just got the Blade MCX2. first time flying a rc heli. it's pretty cool. How do you pro's think it compare to the xheli and other micro brands?

@waterkeeper03 its a good step above them since it uses 2.4 Ghz, and has a removable battery, plus it is much more stable and better supported then most rc helicopters. It's a great way to learn how to fly rc helicopters.

It's also supposed to be faster then the old MCX was.

@waterkeeper03 Hows you MCX? Mines like THE most stable heli I have ever seen, and unlike the crap they call RC helis these days it the best micro you can buy. Its also the most stable and manuverble micr I think EVER.

@flightdeckreviews I love it. It's my first and only experience with a RC Heli but It's super stable, I can toss it up into a takeoff.. I've smashed the wall and kitchen floor so many times and it's still in good shape, less a few cracks in the fusilage.

I've started flying it with a few fans on to get used to dealing with random conditions, and it handles awesome, I can take it full speed through the small archway in my wall and chase the dog with it pretty accurate. I give the MCX2 5 stars

@ernshengjoel one it more powerful and heavier then the other, i don't know about theirs speeds though.

you could probably make a little plane out of it, but it would take a lot of tinkering, and it wouldn't get very good range because it is IR controlled so you couldn't fly it outside.

my havoc heli from air hogs is flying on its own. when the controller is on it sometimes pushes throttle a little, and while im flying it wont stop till i turn off the controller. PLEASE HELP!

@Monster5532 this is a common occurrence among these smaller 2 and 3 channel IR helicopters, the IR signal is easily blocked by bright lights, so the helicopter is designed to keep flying for a few seconds even if the signal is blocked, that way the helicopter wont fall out of the sky every time the signal gets blocked.

It helps to point the transmitter right at the heli, and if it doesn't respond, point the TX at the heli and quickly lower and raise the throttle to re connect the signal

I wish I found this vid before... the main ruder(I can't spell it)broke on first flight. in my defense, there was nothing about twisting the tail ruder(still can't spell it :P). It said to "use the remote." worst $20ever spent(next to PC GTA4(I didn't have the right video card):P).

@kirreenable this was a 2 channel, if you're looking at 4 channel helis check out the line of e-sky coaxial helicopter , they have a bunch of different designs, and coaxial 4 channel helicopters are the best way to learn how to fly.

I have a havoc cyclone (American version of the stingray) and I love it, it takes a little practice but once you get the hang of it it's a lot of fun and definitely worth buying.

Nice tip (twisting the tail)

i bougth me a Excalibur Micro Flyer and I had too much fun adjusting the trim.

adjusting the trim works but twisting the tail does as well (so now i use trimming for light adjustments)

the right quick turns tip also works great... i kill the trust then reaply full trottle and does it like a charm..

by the way... i just found out that these helis gets their main blade pivot axis broken when you force the rotor while stuck in something.

my daugther was flying it and got is stuck on the xmast tree... keep putting in throttle (she is almost 3 years old by the way) and then the heli started to run faster and trend to turn left a lot... so i tryed to adjust it and saw the main blade moving awkwardly up and down.

good thing i had crazy glue around...

Just hand animated bipeds with a metal texture and a picture of the room as the reflection map, i modeled the items around the bipeds like the watch the floor and the heli and put a mat shadow texture on them so the shadows would show up.

I put a tube with a particle storm linked to it for the cigarette and told it not to inherit motion from the parent, I used a separate particle storm for the puff he blows, I exclude the mat shadow objects from the reflections as well.

Check the wires inside the heli, sometimes they can break off of the circuit board during a crash,

your main motor wire may be disconnected.

my battery wires came loose and I needed to re solder them in place, i have a video about it posted.

Can someone help I have one of these but the battery only lasts about 30seconds and it goes to the ground. I replaced the batteries in transmitter with brand new ones and it still stoesnt work. This heli has had over 100 flights so could it be the lipo in the heli.

It very well could be the battery, make sure you don't have any hairs stuck in any of the shafts, also slowly spin the rotor in your hand and see if the main gear meshes properly, if the gears don't mesh properly it can't generate enough thrust to fly.

Honestly I only made 2 of them, and each one was put on a helicopter with a plastic canopy that could be cut off.

if you are using one with a foam canopy you may just want to put it over the body. If you take of your canopy you do run the risk of damaging the helicopter so be careful.

on a havoc heli how do you put the shells you have given the links to? do you remove the foam?

Depending on what havoc heli you have it may be able to carry it without removing the foam.

you might have to make the paper canopy a little bigger though.

If you do have to cut the foam off don't do it on your prized heli, try it on one that you don't care about messing up.

It was originally designed for helicopters with a plastic undercarriage, but a few people have made it work on havok helis with a little modification.

If you are able to get it on I would love to see a video of it flying.
