  • Yep, that's what happens when you make stuff outta junk.. hahahahah.. Thanks.

  • @rpeek

    rpeek

Thanks for watching our 36 dodge rat rod. were still working on it part 2 is coming soon. were hoping to have it done befor summer is over. After the dodge we might do an old tow truck or chevy truck/car and rat rod them out! Thanks again for watching it. Thundermuffins48.

  • @thundermuffins48

    cool rat rod. :)

  • wow what calorie work out do spend every day pushing her in and out old man.

  • the vid repeats at 1:48 lol

  • Oh well.. Life is like that sometimes..

  • I love the car i wish i could get a rat rod but cant get one for multiple reasons so i'll just enjoy watching you and yours

  • I know how you feel... I spent years wishing everything else were in place so I could do this. Glad you're enjoying it. I'll probably work on it some today. Thanks.

  • NICE 33 Roadster I HAVE A CAR I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT THE FRAME LOOKS CLOSE TO YOURS. IF U HAVE TIME LOOK UP MY VID THE TITLE IS MY CHEVY RAT ROD THANK U PS NICE CAR ..

  • That's a beautiful car you've got there. Made lots of comments. Please link it to my vid, if you'd like. Thanks.

  • hey love those deep rimmed wheels and hub that goes with nice look

  • Those are old style 8" chrome reverses with 64 Chevy center caps. Yea, I like 'em too.. I'm debating weather to stick with them or go with 16" spokes in the back..

  • This is soooo cool! I have watched all of your updates! Have you gotten the floor in 'er yet? I was watching and thinking to myself, "Wow, This is a cool old guy! " Then I realized that you are not much older than myself! You have given me some inspiration and I am now looking for my own piece of metal to bring back to life. How did a country boy like you end up in Maine?

  • Last question first. Truck driver, 25 years, looked around the found the best place. No floor yet, but it'll come.. Yea, I'm really lovin' the old rod, especially now that it's together and runnin' and drivable. I remember , when I made this video, I was delighted just to be able to push it around.. hahahaha... It's come a long way since then..

  • i see your starting to build the car from your previous video, cool man cant wait to see it .

  • I'm drivin' it now. It's been quite a lot of fun..

  • I'ts a shame kids see adults like obstacles to their development (government and commercial propaganda speaking louder over the family bonds) and don't see that were still kids like them just smarter and a bit worn. if they're good kids they figgure it out before were gone and its not too late to have fun.

I can put myself in that video like I'm right back in the day pushing my first one in the garage. I'm getting a little grey and stiff but inside it's like I'm the same as then but better

  • It's funny, but just pushing her around a bit felt good. Had her rollin'.. hahaha

  • I guess we are as old as we think we are!!!

  • 41 torchmann? you talk like your an old man or something, lol anywase i think most kidz these days are still cool, its just the loud mouth punks that we seem to hear all the time, there are still plenty respectable youngins just waiting

to learn, also i love that gerage ! "rpeek"

  • Heck me and my dad just had to push a 50 Dodge pickup in my garage with a tractor because the wheels were locked up and still are even after i cut out the front suspension.

  • very cool, man.

  • Make sure you make some videos on the flathead rebuild.

  • Oh yes, will do. Am looking for some specialty tools, valve stem pullers and such. If anyone has any, please get in touch..

  • try a small allthread or long bolt the size of the valve stem with some thinwall tubing slipped over to push it out

  • Dad used to have a flathead valve spring compressor, it wouldn't fit the valves in my techumseh scooter motors and I just used a couple screwdrivers or a doorpanel tool or something like that against the block. i don't remember what it was but it wasn't right though it worked

  • love the steps along the way.. keep comin with hot rod updates dad.. love u -Josh.

  • I'm trying to get a 6 volt battery so I can test start the Cadillac engine. If it works, I'm thinking of hooking it to the trans out of the 48 Ford Bicknell brought up. That way, once I get the flathead runnin' it'd be fairly easy to make the swap. I'll keep you posted.

  • Sweet, looks like you will have a lot of work, and a lot of fun fixing it up. Can't wait to see what it looks like when you are finished.

  • Looks like a very cool, very fun project. Best of luck to ya, rpeek.

  • Yes, I'm having wicked good fun with this.. Thanks..

  • NOW.. I know what love looks like!! lol

  • Yep... 'tis true..

  • looking forward to progress reports.
