@LillyduLac I had to make a judgment call, as everyone must in such a situation. And I believe I did the best thing for this bird, who was too young to survive outside of the nest as he didn't have enough feathers to keep him warm, and our weather was cool and very windy. He was near death when I found him, and I don't think he would have survived. And as it turned out, this time, everything worked out just fine. Thanks for the input, though.
