  • I personally prefer Idemitsu oils. They're the brand used by most Japanese auto manufactures as the factory fill (Well synthetic any way) I've ran it in my cars and torn apart the my engines and have never had sludge problems or any significant wear on bearings and the cross hatch was still on the cylinders. The most recent engine was my D15B with 250,000 miles on it.....In mho thats the test that counts, not dyno running....Im jus saying

  • @1983ponyboy Also theyre the only ones that I know of that made a syn oil specificaly made for a Rotary engine

  • okay why the fuck are you using 0w-50 oil in a car that requires a completely different viscosity oil?! how about you put some of the correct 5w-30 in the crankcase, run it, and see if your engine will last you another 10k miles. I wouldn't trust this crap, stick to mobil1, RP, castrol edge, the good stuff, not this made in china and sold in japan crap.

  • @hwfixiturself I used eneos 5w30 and the engine was very clean. its not made in china ether. its produced by Nippon oil USA inc in which becoming available at parts stores now. so its all about personal preference. to be fair Mobil 1 was okay, castrol edge was not that great because the engine burns oil rapidly. so all of these oils I mentioned have API certification anyway.

  • That need to look at the Greddy 5W-40 I like it for my 350Z

  • I like how they use the Royal Purple first so all that moly coats the engine. Then they stick that other stuff I've never heard of before in to take advantage of the moly from the RP. FAIL on so many levels.

  • Royal Purple is the shit! I stand by it all the way. It increased Hp by 9 in my GTO. It works. This Eneos oil is garbage.

  • They need to use same weight oil. Credibility of these folks is down the toilet. People who care about HP and mods understand the weight of the oil and how it effects power. Stop wasting time if you are not going to compare apples to apples. i would never buy eneos oil because i think they used different weight because with similar weight would have not seen any difference.

  • @gwalia4 I totally agree with you, I was about to say a similar thing. Of course 20W-50 is going to give you less power than a 0W-50 when its cold.

  • 0-50 is junk, full of viscosity modifiers, avoid anything with a range bigger than 30 , eg 10-50

  • 0-50 is junk, full of viscosity modifiers, avoid anything with a range bigger than 30 , eg 10-50

  • what a shameless plug, no scientific facts to back it up like what were the intake temperatures on both runs, etc. poor science and even poorer automotive journalism.

  • Now run penzoil syn after the eno see if it goes down in power i claim not. New oil offers increased lube its not fair comp.

  • i know its not a 370z but the headlight at 4:18 looks like one cause the glare

  • id definitely believe a youtube comment from a guy who thinks w means winter.

  • 20W50

    20 = thickness @ ambient temperature

    W = winter

    50 = viscosity @ operating temperature

    The ENEOS 0W50 provides protection and performance in extreme temperatures. Whether you are in Siberia, Russia or Sahara Desert, Egypt.

  • I call bullshit, a 20w 50 oil vs a 0w 50? If they want me to buy it prove to me they werent using cheap Pennzoil and use the same wieght oil, the wieght of the oil is were that power came from not the oil being good.

  • ENEOS: oil supplier for the departed Honda Racing Formula 1 team.

    Castrol, Pennzoil, Quaker State, Valvoline cannot even join the game in Formula 1. Certainly the underdogs too(Royal Purple, Amsoil, Red Line, etc.)

  • comparing apples to oranges. different viscosity is the key difference here. Also stick with the right viscosity for your climate & useage. You'll never feel an extra 3HP on a 300HP engine. Even the most sensitive butts cannot feel less than 5-10HP.

  • The point is Eneos has developed an ionized 0w50 oil that no one else has.. Where are the videos showing HP gains by using Royal purple.. s'what i thought.

  • Try Walmart Supertech 20W-50 and I bet you get the same results as Eneos
