Reminds me of a mix of...Slipknot/Alien ant farm/ then some metalcore influence. You guys were so much more interesting than all the other 530 bands. Good song mannnnn
oh my gosh... i can remember both recordings of this song... i had two different copies of the cd, i believe. and i can remember the show @ the pound on my 18th birthday in san fran.... im really bummed that you dont know where i can get the cd now... especially the other version. my copy is long gone. it was borrowed often and didnt make it back one time. thanks for putting this up beau. i've been waiting! you rock. much love and respect to distortion drum. You guys ALWAYS have sounded great.
@adwxsby This song was recorded twice. Once on our first album and re-recorded for this album. I have everything Distortion Drum, so if you want both albums just let me know. I have the download links. thanks for the comment!
thanks! i will check those guys out. You should listen to the other song we have on here called "These Days Age". It's more radio-friendly. lots of singing, way less screaming.
Yes, sir. I've had the same equipment for years now. lol. I haven't upgraded anything in 5 years. I just have a board, a pc program and some good mics.
So, is the sound in this video/your other videos a pretty accurate representation of how it sounds in person? Or is it super eq'd? Because i'm thinking about purchasing the 14x5 free floater because of what i hear on your vids.
no, i really got it to sound like that. What I usually do to the snare in post mixing is increase 5000khz, and 10,000khz, by just a few dB. I also increase a few dB somewhere between 200hz and 260hz. There is also a little compression. My snare can sound pretty close to what you hear in this song. You also gotta count reverb, the natural ring of the snare, and the room your in which could change the sound. The mics don't pick up the "ring" of the snare drum, so it sounds damp.
Enjoyed this greatly. And I agree with what you said in the description. As much as I love and appreciate technical metal it is nice to just listen to some head bobbin music once and a while. Love the intro / 2 min riff.

You guys remind me of a band called Look What I Did in some parts, at least instrument-wise.
I like everything except the vocals, to be honest.
I'm here for the drums anyways, you're great Beau.

Ah, I see. As long as it sounds relatively close. I definitely don't mind a little ring, snares don't sound good live without it.

It's kinda sad you guys broke up.
Your drumming has always been an inspiration man.
Good luck on any future project anyways.
