the cage helps it so it doesnt come down on your head when u flip go on your side ect, and if u do catch on fire u have about 60 seconds 2 get out before u are burned and that is VERY possible

ya but when u flip and it catches on fire they dont have a whole lot of fire proof race suits for cheep and then when your going real fast flip and your arms go out the sides and get crushed plus u need a whole diffrent helmet

i kart also and this kind of stuff dosnt happen alot.. just some flips on occassion but nothing this dramaic, its cool to watch when your not involved, ive been slammed into a cement wall and tires a couple of times and that hurts but its all part of the sport!! wouldnt change it for the world! :)

I feel ya man, happens to me all the time. im going on my 8th year. I've dodge a few bullets and i got pretty lucky at some times, i blow my motor on the last lap so i went to turn of the track and this kid drilled me at the end of the striaght going about 80 clicks i walked away with a dent in my side pod they tore there lung and shatterd there pulvis..... Its crazy what can happen out there.. to top it off i was winning the race when flag was thrown so i got the win with a blown motor

that wont work. we acually have thick suits with pads and no seatbelts. very safe if you drive responsibly. and only 1 or 2 people have died. roll cages wont help without seatbelts (very expensive) and its not airodinamic. but other than that nice vid.

it depends. if you don't wear the proper gear(suit, boots, gloves, neck coller, rib protecter, helmet, and knee/elbow pads) and get in a bad crash, you could die, but the chances are extremly low as long as you race smart and wear proper gear. At Infineon Kart track in Sonoma, California, I slammed into a tire barrier at 50mph, and I was perfectly ok. I didn't even have a scratch or bruise. :-)

Ye i raced in cadets for 3 and a half years, and I had no major accidents. I mean of course you will have a few small bumps, and maybe some accidents which are a bit worse, but nothing bad happens very often, and when it does, its usually not that bad. I mean looking at these videos, most of the guys get up again straight away. I mean ive had someone drive over me as i went down a valley and i was fine, and ive hit a tyre wall dead on at 40 and been fine. Don't worry about a thing mate.
