@dela1041971 That is quite a bold statement. How do you back that observation, if I may ask? Do you find it intelligent to insult the product of a country which is far exceeding it's expectations for being relatively new to the wine trade (compared to the Old World)? If you have no basis to spit out ridiculous objections, then do the world a favor and keep them all to yourself.
@dela1041971 This is a wine discussion we're having though, Am I wrong? You have yet to state your as to why the wine made in the USA is "shit", as you put it. Do you own Latour? Are you a famed negociant in the Cote de Nuits? I mean, what is your basis here? Seems like nothing but some warped socio-political bashing, completely ignoring the simple aspect of wine quality.
Manfred, my wife and I attended a dinner in Pasadena last fall that featured Brian Loring's wines. He was amazed that the restaurant was full and commented "I hope you guys weren't expecting Sine Qua Non!" My wish is that someday, somehow we will be able to get on your list... cutlove doesn't realize how lucky he is to have 1/2 case in his cellar... "spare a few bottles..." are you kidding? We would give anything to even have 1 or 2 bottles in our cellar. ~ Don from Eagle Rock.
Manfred, you are an artist. I have a 1/2 case of your '05 Atlanis Syrah & Grenache. I've been quite disciplined in holding off on drinking them. However it is growing difficult. Could you spare a few bottles in the event that I weaken?
@cutglove What's holding you back? These wines are ready to drink. I wouldn't open all six bottles, but I see no harm in pulling out the cork out of one and trying out the delectable wine.

Wine talk is nation talking...there is no simple aspect of wine.

Simply the best wine I've ever had - at least from the US. Mr. Krankl is simply wrong to do something this good. - crazy bastard [grin].
