Do the TCs and All American use the same engine, what makes them different from one another why not just buy a 72 passenger All American instead of a 72 passenger TC for example?
The TC's and All Americans at the time did use the same engines. The All American used a drop frame chassis, which was more appealing to some districts. The other difference is the front end, look at pictures and you'll see.
down/up/out here in SC, we need to auction our BlueBird/International/Carpenter S Series...old pieces of rusty shit. haha w/e, good vid, except for those red lights burnin out.
OK, the bus either just pulled in from a run, or you had it running for awhile!! LOL It takes a little longer than that to complete a proper air brake test my friend- What's your point?
Wow I just read this comment. Sorry I did not reply sooner. I was just testing everything out to see if everything functioned properly as I was thinking about buying one for an RV conversion.
ahh the good ole bluebirds the ones i use to ride when i was going to school..MS & HS..looks like your left red light was out...would like to see more of that i find those blinking lights to be awesome!
I like this bus, but besides the AllAmericanFE, and Thomas Built, I think the Thomas Built HDX is awesome, it's huge coming down the road, and looks awesome! :p
how about illinois,in general, or wisconsin, iowa, or indiana? i would like 1 jus to use to haul my construction materials and misc. stuff around to job sites...its easier
i know in my school district...some of the Thomas Vistas and the older ER's had the wire like this bus instead of the yellow bar. but they are slowly replacing the wire with the yellow bar.

OPENING : I think its good the doors and Stop Arm (StopSign) open @ the same time and i also think the cross arms not to far behind it.
CLOSING : Its good the door closes 1st and the lights flash for about 5 more secs and the cross arm stays out. Might wanna get that Red Light fixed!!

dealtyler8961 2 years ago
It is supposed to tell kids not to cross in front of the bus. Or sometimes to indicate to cars if its at a corner.
ausernamenonewants 2 years ago
its a crossing arm so the kids know how far to go from the bus when crossing the street
DragonSlayKins1 2 years ago
its something the kids stand in front of when it swings out so the bus driver can see you

SAOTOME666 3 months ago
We had a Blue Bird 'Wanderlodge' growing up, it sounded just like that bus. I would step on the brake pedal to hear the system vent and pressurize.

is this door controlled by a switch or a crank?

I never seen a school bus with some kind of fence in front of the bus that opens out when you turn on the red lights and the stop sign.
