  • of course you don't regain health. When you take a hit from a special move when blocking you get chip damage, regardless.

  • how did you get this amazing video quality?

  • @spites1 The video quality is poor. Clever observation, there.

  • I think the mistake was with CVS2. In that the red K groove gave life if you did just defense.

  • how exactly a redparry is made?

  • how come i never see red parrys in tournament play?

  • who the fuck said redparrys recover life?

if u were any good at thegame u know they dont, scrubbbbbbb

  • you regain health only from the previous move that you red parry. ex hado = red parry heals cause it blocked one hit and healed one hit. akuma's 3 hit hado = redparry only heals the 2nd hit that chipped.

  • no, you really don't.

  • No, you are TOTALLY wrong, kambotrick3y already explained the real situation.

Red parries do NOT restore ANY health, they are simply another technique to avoid chip damage and break out of block strings.

If you still believe red parries restore heath, I ask that you provide video evidence.

  • @wngo70 fuck off 3rd strike is a game for men you dont need to recover health... neither to defend you just have to parry everything and thats it

  • The Just defending thing is also present in Fatal Fury, Garou: Mark of the wolves, you gain life if you just defend a special attack or a super

  • To many good 3s players, but none in my area, nice skills gabrielkeene

  • @V4MPIRO you´re from brazil right?

  • @guilhermewolfman

    No, am from Illinois, USA

  • This is coming from a real source.

You're right, you do NOT gain health from red parry. It's merely there to allow you the chance to parry through block stun.

The rumors you heard were probably from players who got mixed up with Capcom vs Snk 2, in which any character with K-Groove style can "Just Defend" (which is similar to parrying), and are capable of regaining a bit of health once succesful.

  • Thank you for clearing that up. I was pretty sure of it myself, but after some serious insisting by some fellow message board members, I decided to try it out anyway.

  • who ever told you you regain health from red parries is an idiot. Im surprised there are more than one fool who believes this.
