I am using a USB to serial adapter connected to the mac then a straight serial cable to the K3. All keying and rig control is done through that single cable.

go to the elecraft website and email the tech? or maybe if there is an options page I would suggest for you to look there.

What are you running on your mac? Are u in Bootcamp? if you are in OSX, what software are you using?
