  • Such great resonance. So glad I kept mine, instead of selling it to all the greedy vintage synth flippers. Bought it from a tiny little music store in San Francisco. Was just sitting in the corner collecting dust in the back. Asked the guy if it was for sale and he was like, "yeah. Gimme $50 bucks and get it outta here. Tired of looking at that old piece of junk!". Man, the early 90s were so great. No Ebay. And ppl were so ignorant of what these synths wud become value-wise one day. I scored, xd

  • :]

  • sounds like R2-D2

  • It's killing my Imac speakers....

  • my fave on you tube so far

  • Great!!!!!

How did you get that sweeping sound at 4:24?

    Thanks!

  • @anemic86

Oscillator Sync modulated with the wheel

  • Did Queen use this for Flash Gordon? This film was made in 1980 when the Prodigy was new. 59 to 1:08 sound like when Zarkov has his gun melted, going on into Ming's theme. I think they should have shown one being played realtime in the court, painted gold and covered with jewels!

  • Queen used the Oberheim OB-X for Flash Gordon

  • Thank you for telling me. They don't say on the cd. I found OBX on YT, thrilling sounds but it looks big and heavy!

  • yes indeed very big and very heavy but one of the best synths ever made

  • @retrosound72 This is better than Minimoog or not?

  • @THEH4VOC

    different not better

  • I have one of these, so intense

  • and im extremely jealous.

  • JUICY HIGHS

  • ''The Prodigy is Moog typically simply fat but the possibilities are limited''

  • Isn't it one of these that Me'Shell NdegeOcello plays on stage?

  • I love the Moog sound

  • PHHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTT, and I love it!

  • So what can this do that the little phatty can't do? I genuinely don't know about either

  • the sound is very different but typical Moog.

    both synths are great!

  • I would say LP can do everything Prodigy can, and more.

The sound is different, but not much. They are both analog Moogs.

  • I hope so. Waiting for mine in the mail.

  • is it the Moog Prodigy Analog Synthesizer you are watin for in the mail if so how and were did you get it i would love to get one

  • Ah.. this is what Kontour uses. It can make some great sounds. How does he make his style using this synth?

  • what the fuck ! It's like a iDose ! :D

    I love your sounds

  • obese

  • morbidly so

  • Prodigy rulez! Found mine in a trashcan, mint...

  • you bastard :)

  • this s the reason y the prodigy band s called the prodigy

  • I wondered that - it's probably just a coincidense

  • i thought that as well but if you look at the font of the word prodigy on the image above (during the video) its a very similar font to there early logo.

  • BASTERED!! i wish lol

  • Trash can! F**K.. That beats the story of the guy that bought a 303 at an op shop for 5 bucks ...

  • OH well, the last time I took out the trash I found a MemoryMoog, Yamaha CS-80, SCI Prophet 10, Roland Jupiter 8, Oberheim OBXa, and a ARP 2600 all in mint condition! I hooked them all up to 10.000 watt PA that was in the bin as well and jammed along with Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis who both happened to be around as well. True story! ;) .... uh.. o.k. lets all get back to reality now shall we!

  • that sounds like a really good day.

  • One of the best days in anyones life thats for sure.

  • OMG! IT HAPPENED TO ME ASWELL!! Except that...jessica alba asked me to marry her that night..fucking buzzkill..told her to stop denying me time with my new-found synths. Oh and then i invaded Israel.

  • THE PRODIGY!!!!!!!

  • where can i get one of these??

  • On ebay...

  • You must sell your soul.

  • I just love the sound of the Prodigy - it's mighty and internally has a great mod-potential. ;)
