  • Thanks for this! Fantastic

  • This was a very nice video! And I watched it till the end... Not boring one bit.. Thanks for the time and effort. I posted it on my facebook to remind people one more time about what we can do..

  • you my friend need to see the dirty industrys, where i work we toss a few tons of waste a week, mostly plastic, its all a joke now , and theres only 10 people where i work

  • Recycling is generally BS, much of it is shipped to China or India to be 'recyled' by slave labour! What nonsense!

  • In a family operated business it's who you know and who you are related to. Change is coming. A few of us have pushed and now the cardboard is recycled and the rest is in the works. We have proven the dumpster doesn't fill up as fast and that saves money. Saving money is more important than saving the world.

  • where i work we seperate the plastic from the paper. Then when the janitor comes through he dumps both containers in his hopper. I asked my supervisor why, he told me all he was told is to seperate. Where it goes from there isn't his problem.

  • @noway180 Well I would hope his wife appreciates being married to your supervisor whom seems to do everything he's told w/o question. This super doesn't seem promotable.

  • true ..... good video ...

  • To the Uploader: You need to watch the Penn and Teller show Bullshit they have a great episode about recycling. Go to Google Video and type in Penn and Teller Bullshit Recycling.

  • I feel a little bad for using plastic cups, but I rinse them out and re-use them for days straight.

But for the rest of my recycling, I give old clothes to a donation center, or if they're too holey to wear, I rip them apart and make quilts from the usuable scraps.

I'm reluctant to just chuck things in the trash when I know it can be used again. Both paper and plastic bags. (You can iron the plastic bags together to make thicker, reusable ones.

    Google it, 'Make' magazine)

  • 5:00 "I can guarantee you, that [styrofoam container] is going to end up somewhere, on a dump, for a thousand years."

    What's wrong with that?

  • Totally loved everything said in the video clip. All common sense. We do need to go back to the original and better ways of doing things.

  • It all comes from our failed economic model. The economy is based on people consuming. So what was their bright idea to keep the economy going? Make things that can only be consumed once then thrown away. Then people will BUY MORE. The lights in Edison's house are the same ones he installed back in the day. It's nauseating that companies intentionally build obsolescence into their products so we'll buy more.

  • @00Mandingo00 Sounds right. But recycle isn't a total joke.

  • I liked your video very much and agree 100% with you. Only one suggestion, where you write "Other Tips"... you shouldn't say "Buy American!"... but just "Buy local!"... don't forget that this video es being watched all over the planet.

One thing that I cannot stand is electric tooth brushes!!!! What on Earth do we need those for??? Only to increase the rubbish pile with more and more batteries... don't you think?

  • "you shouldn't say "Buy American!"... but just "Buy local!"

    Great Suggestion. Thanks

  • you forgot to mention where plastics come from and of course they theyre shoved in our faces on every product almost...........all plastics or chemicals used in them also cause allsorts of cancers too.
