How is it rude to eat with your hands in the West? Don't be ignorant: people in the West eat pizza, fried chicken, hamburgers, chips, popcorn, et cetera with their hands. I personally won't eat snacks with my hands - I use a spoon. I think it's disgusting to get the grease or flavored powder onto my fingers. With the way I eat rice, I make a pack and with that pack scoop the rest of my food into the middle. It's clean and I only touch the rice.
