  • "Children will suffer first... but they are also the world's best hope for change."

You can do something today to help kids and the planet. Plant a tree through Love Trees (lovetrees.ca) - the global children's environmental education + tree planting program. Love Trees is a member of the United Nations Billion Tree Campaign. Help put a fruit tree in the hands of a child in Africa and other places around the world in an effort to educate and empower children, the future stewards of the planet.

  • 1 /2 Obama stop offshore drilling until it was reinstated. This could cause a $5 a gallon increase, because we would grow dependent upon foreign nations we are not allies with in order to provide our oil. Cap and Trade (American Power Act) would increase gas prices increase by $2.58 a gallon according to George C. Marshall Institute& taxes on the average household up to $3200 according to the RNC Foreign countries price gouge w/ gas prices to $10/gal!.

  • John R. Christy has been accused of recanting his position that climate change is neither Anthropogenic nor Catastrophic, but he didn’t. He used two independent data sets, weather balloon and satellite for his findings. (see links in my about me) Later he only stated that there was some anthropogenic impact that could not be predicted 100 years out, but that what we’re doing was good for the plants.

  • not it isn't,

they are telling you this to

scare you into a carbon tax

it is all about the money

  • Hey Kohl93 shut up! quit nit picking at everything and realize that people out there need our help

  • i understand the people of Bali are in a dire situation due to draught. and i understand how children are the most affected by this. the same situation existed in Ethiopia a few decades ago. but i feel an organization like UNICEF should be telling people about the problem without the "climate change" blaming. the climate is doing exactly what its supposed to.

  • >"the climate is doing exactly what its supposed to".

    Exacerbated by global warming.

Yes, Ethiopia/northern Africa had a drought 23 years ago (remember Live Aid?) so did Australia and other countries affected by the Pacific El Nino cycle, and we're just coming out of another cycle.

We collectively need to reduce, reuse and recycle to mitigate the impacts of our standard of living on the wider world and climate.

Don't use climate change skepticism as an excuse to do nothing!

  • I don't think it's an excuse, we are responsible for the climate change and as a result for the suffering of all these people. We have to help these people, but we also have to stop the problem from its source, the climate change which WE have created. If we don't, the problems won't stop nomatter the help we are going to provide.

  • Well that's a good point! But don't use the need for us to do something as an excuse to avoid seeing the truth. And the truth is that UNICEF is using doubtful data. And more, this is generally accepted. If we work for water and polution, we have a better health. If we work for that global warming, we will have new fresh bought stuff. So.. is this strange game aboutis the Earth or... the economy?

    Poor world, polluted by words.

  • they are the present and the future, Stop the suffering of children worldwide.
