I couldn't find any other video to post as relevant on, but I'm watching your ROTF movie night and wonder, disregarding all other problems, do you have a problem with the 17,000 BC part or is that just spiiling over from the rest?

Its really too bad that the sequel actually removes everything that right with the first movie, and packs it with everything that was wrong.

If you have the time, would you make a commentary on the second movie?

I've tried to watch this four times already, but trying to sync the audio with the video is really hard, mainly because I have no real exact reference to where you are, I kinda have an idea, but I'm usually a couple seconds ahead or behind. anyone got any ideas how to deal with this?

Just let it go....it won't sync perfectly, the thoughts go all over the place and don't stay with the timecode, so just let it roll.

Huh, anyway, I was actually able to get pretty far on one of my tries, but then the video stopped loading, and I had already tried a couple times before, but I thought all of your ideas up to that point were great, though I don't think that the bit with Bumblebee transforming in public would work too well, since they're supposed to be hiding, but other than that I loved it.

Its not even that it was just not to my liking, but it was a bad movie... unless of course you've taped 2 hours of GM commercials over the years and have enjoyed playing them back in an order that makes the least amount of sense.... in which case, you probably loved transformers...

This entire thing shows how you can't please everyone. Michael Bay had a choice: Appeal to a small group of Gen-X Transfans with 50 so-so animated Tformers, or use a large number of human characters and cutting-edge CGI (to make thirteen cutting edge transformers) to make a movie TODAY'S generation of kids would like. He made the right choice.

Also you have to consider the fact that this movie was directed by Michael Bay. Since when has Michael Bay been known for establishing his entire cast as 3d characters. He is known for giving people what they want special effects. Be honest did you go watch transformers to see good character building or amazing special effects?

No there couldn't have been a huge battle in the beginning. It would have been too much money. That's why Megatron could only get so little screen time. He is the biggest, hardest, and most expansive to transformer to animate. The movies you mentioned had easier special effects to achieve animating Gandalf's spells is a lot cheaper than animating 40 ft transforming alien robots.

As for Spiderman 2 it had a bigger budget $200 million to be exact while Transformers had a $145 million budget. Also again animating the transformers is a lot more expansive than creating 3d models of Spiderman and Doc Ock fighting it out. As for Matrix it had the cheapest effects out of all these movies barely and 3d models where used it was mostly slow motion and physical effects instead of digital effects.

They're were some things I didn't like in the film, namely Shia, but I enjoyed Transformers a great deal more than I did Armada, Energon and Cybertron. I'm hopeful that Arcee might just get in the next film. I'd also like to see some more beast Transformers, Scorponok wasn't enough for me. And if they do bring Mega/Galvatron back, Frank Welker please!
