I'm american and I don't want the auto industry saved. Let it crash and burn. If it does people will spend their money on something better than giant gas guzzlers.
The Auto industry has to change itself from the inside out. Hire new engineers, new ideas, innovative designers, thinkers that will continue to keep America on the cutting edge. America's out-dated corporate structure will it have it continually imploding on itself.
Don't give up American made cars, it will bring America down. America must rebuild the auto industry to become first again; but it must be cutting edge.
The American taxpayer's should NOT bail-out the auto industry. We've already GAVE $700 billion for the financial industry. GM should not have been making bigger and bigger SUV's to the point of ridicularity. WHY are "we the people" responsible? Our country is capitalist and big business needs to understand we are NOT going to bail you out every time a big corporation fails.
FREEDOM and LIBERTY for American people. Being taxpaying slaves to bail-out big business is NOT acceptable.

I am and was totally against THAT bailout. I even wrote my Congress people to vote AGAINST that bailout of the damn Wall Street Fat Cats that played casino with other people's money and made a hell of a lot of money during these deregulated times of the last 30 years. Even tho Congress got 100 to 1 AGAINST that Wall Street bailout, they still voted for it. That's representative democracy?!! WTF?!!
They always blame the Unions. It's not the Unions fault. It's Managments fault. These companies have been make very good profits for years and years and now all of a sudden the Unions are the problem. Nice try. Btw, I have my own company and I think Unions are good for America and our people. We need them. "They" are continually sending out these Sound bites to sensitise people to the idea of getting rid of the Unions. We need to protect them. They need more "power". Peace.
