About the shirtless scene, child nudity was not a big deal before as there was not as many pedophile crimes. A nude child was just a nude child, until they reached puberty they were not considered sexual. Just how we see babies nude and think nothing of it.

@ethermeister Well its the only real humour in the movie plus i kind of breaks it up tho from after the song theres little to no humour also hes the bfg even tho hes very old and wise hes still a little kid like. if you dont enjoy the song just skip it in future its a bit of a "Big lipped alligator moment" as the nostaglia chick would say it happens and it goes and has no lasting impact on the film so if you skip it wont harm tho myself love the song reminds me of my childhood *dances to song*
