This looks more like the training we got back in '99 but you guys have the new PT uniforms and looks like I saw Drill Sgt Zick during the PT test, was he still there? Still a lot of stuff was added to training since '99.
Going to advanced individual training June 1st at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri for 74Delta. Nuclear,Chemical,Biological, Specialist. Reclassed of course at "the request of the Army". Any advise?
looks like infantry familiarization training for non infantry types.Shouldn't CA/PSYOP be learning how to do CA and PSYOP not putting lead down range?It is great to be familiar with the os of units you will support but we are suffering in IRAQ because PSYOP knows how to be and act like infantry but has no clue how to perform PSYOP on the enemy and civilian population. PSYOP are the ones who should be culturally sensitive and work to ensure the units they supported are not too rough or rude.
@ Zaryroberto- PSYOP soldiers jump in with every Ranger unit into combat . PSYOP soldiers were on the beaches with Navy Seals in Panama. On the ropes with Marine Fast teams nearly everywhere they go, With ODAa on CD missions in South America, supporting FBI, and CIA operations in obscure locations. All special operations forces were formed AFTER PSYOP, on the principles of PSYOP. Thanks for attempting to demean PSYOP, but you failed based on your lack of military knowledge.
Considering that 37Fs are often embedded with patrols, it makes sense to train them accordingly for when the fit hits the shan. I promise, they have a 'clue', they don't spend 15 weeks at Bragg learning 11b stuff.
