There is a problem with the Music. It's Eluveitie, Death CELTIC Metal. Not VIKING Metal. And using a music for Celtic mythology when you speak on Norse Mythology, it's a profanation, especially when you give a lesson on norse mythology.

I don't see anything in the Viking or Asatru philosophy, faith, or culture, about racial distinction or even territorial boundaries. As far as I know the Vikings happily assimilated, or traded with, anyone they found. Like any religion, Asatru is a way of understanding the universe we, all of us, live in. We can't let foreign tribes and cultures influence our religion, but it isn't a racial thing either. We should build a strong tribal and cultural identity, and let join whoever is worthy of joining.
Racial awareness cannot distort a culturally familiar belief it can only strengthen it. Whereas allowing cultures and peoples not of our own interpret and teach what is fundamentally ours does distort and corrupt. Believe what you want about the world but it is not as simple as "if we could all just get along..."
However, the call should not be to embrace the multicult but to embrace your peoples with an understanding of others. The use of any "faith" to try and direct the world views of others is wrong. Teach the basic tenents and let others interpret them into their own worldview racist or not.
It is impossible to have heritage without race, it is NOT impossible to have race without hate (despite what the media would have you believe) being racially aware and racially proud does NOT make you racist. I don't see anything in the Viking or Asatru philosophy, faith, or culture, about racial distinction or even territorial boundaries. As far as I know the Vikings happily assimilated, or traded with, anyone they found. Like any religion, Asatru is a way of understanding the universe we, all of us, live in. As far as I'm concerned it's a religion open to all.

I love Nordic culture as well. I think an Asian man or a black man could be MORE Nordic than a white man. This a matter of the human spirit, and not of race. Because of the interlocking triangles, some folk say it represents Hel, Midgard, and Asgard. But foremost, it's tied to Odinn. FYI, valknut is a rune. So it as a tattoo, is letting Al-Father know that you're okay if he calls ya to his side at any point. Its a good and bad thing. Hope this helps! Skol

For the people who truly wish to understand that era in german history I suggest reading: "the myth of the twentieth century", david irvings "hitler war", and also "the decline of the west" by oswald spengler. There is a huge amount of information out there to refute the propaganda, and correct the mistaken belief of the nazi "monster"

Whereas allowing cultures and peoples not of our own interpret and teach what is fundamentally ours does distort and corrupt. @Knektar Valid point. No symbol was used by any german force to portray hatred against anyone. However, the misconception arose from the fact that they took the svastika from the sanskrit culture, which there it meant lucky or auspicious object. They then turn it backwards. So many took that into account and notably recognized it as unlucky, or harmful- so long as it was coupled with their actions. Good point though. I just felt I had to add onto it.
