At seroyer2 ....it's not "air got stuffed under the car" ....what happens is the car, going sideways, has a profile much like an aeroplane wing - with a flat underside and heavily curved top surface - the pressure difference causes it to take off. When travelling normally, the diffuser shape at the rear (and some rake) accelerates the air underneath and causes the pressure difference to be greater on the top surface, that difference is reversed when the car is going sideways.
