@AlcoholicAndres I played both, love both. It's a different kind of exertion. Football, you go 100% for 5-10 seconds, get crunched, go back to the huddle with 30 seconds to breathe. Rugby, everyone handles the ball, tackles, advances. 80 minutes. When you sub out, you're out. It's a constant grind. I was always more injured after football (played FB and LBer) but always more tired after rugby.

this is rugby..great sport.. you cant pass it forward but you can kick or run it forward, so that way the play is constantly going, unlike your american football where play stops to make tactical decisions after someone is tackled.. its a game of real passion and hard hits, check some more vids out dude

there are stoppages of course for fouls, but not after a player is tackled like in american football, the play continues, i prob should have mentioned that... in this game there are scrums, rucks, lineouts and mauls.. all of them involve different plays or tactics to get the ball forward.. its kind of hard to explain.. see all the tactical decisions are made on the pitch as play goes on

you can pass the ball backwards or kick/run it forwards. touch the ball to the ground behind the try line to score 5 points kick it over the cross bar to score 2 points.

Think of American football with no hard padding or helmets.

No blocking for the ball carrier is allowed, though you can push him to gain more yards. The closest you get to blocking is when you are clearing a ruck.

A ruck is formed when two players make contact and contest for the ball.

Lateral passes are only allowed during the play.

If the ball goes out of bounds, the ball is thrown in to give both teams equal opportunity to get the ball back. This includes scrums.
