  • Nice technique and the horn sounds really nice too.

  • This guy's overall sound is as good as it Getz (pun intended). It ain't the arrow, it's the Indian. People knock the "shooting star" Conns, but what if they turn out to be better than the Taiwanese crapola we've been getting, to say nothing of the $6,000 Selmers that don't quite "go the distance"?

  • I love this sound amazing tenor !

  • Think that`s quite good, good stuff, man! Could you show us some more of `em?

    Best regards.

  • Great man, that Sax yours sounds beautiful. I got some weeks ago my Conn Shooting Stars 16M, year 1957 (or 1960 not sure). I think 16M sound is beautiful and highly compared to the 10M.

    Great job!

  • Thats a Mexiconn? or not? i have one tenor S.S made in mexico and the people say "Thats a very bad sax , trow it away" but i don not what think of that, please tell me what do youy think... its look like your a great saxophonist... Greethings from mexico amigo...

  • @ensemble64 Hi amigo, thanks for your message from mexico. As far as I know, my conn was made in the US in 1969. I don´t think there are big differences concerning the material. I would not throw it away. You can make the sound much better if you delaquer the body, use pads with metal resonators and of course a good metal mouthpiece (Otto Link, RIA) with a wide tip opening. these conn used a large bore and good metal for the body of the sax, that makes the sound. Best regards to mexico!

  • nice playing! good sound!

  • I believe those shooting stars to be alot like the 10M

  • @saxophonedave

Yes you´re right !! They are definitely underestimated. The sound of this shooting star is better than the sound of my Transitional and my Mk VI. The only point that could be better is the mechanical function. They used quite cheap parts there.

    Best regards !

  • Great Subtone!!
