For ur info sometime in January 2011,an employee of SMRT UPD took his very young daughter to play at the high voltage maint pit. It was only known after a public complaint. How SMRT didn't realised a kid was in the Restricted Area, just like the vandal nobody know abt it..Is the Security so slacked. How abt our safety. The guy got away with just a warning letter
Think the government need to learn how to act "above the line" that is expected in every leader. Be "responsible", "accountable" and take "ownership". Instead I see them acting "below the line", giving "excuse", putting "blame" and "denial" of facts.... This is vital for being a good government. :(
Perhaps it would take a real tragedy for the higher-ups to know they messed up, while the people who really suffer are giving them a one-finger salute.
the government must work together ..hand-in-hand with the public security sector not pushing the blame.to ensure there is enough manpower to enforce security.
Using Oliver Fricker as a scapegoat when it is the PAP to blame for any security issue. This man did nothing to be FLOGGED for. How dare this third world island state beat men in this inhuman cruel and sadistic manner. The international community condemns this stalinist one party state. Disgusting!!
Security is the serious issue but Mr. Fricker will be beaten because of his sprary painting. This man is not dangerous there was no malice he did this island nation a favor and he, nor any other man should be mistreated in this way. No country will intervene in his beahlf and the Swiss president is too dignified and respectful of a country who doesn't even respect its own male citizens as humans and treats them less than animals by FLOGGING them. SINGAPORE HAS NO RIGHT TO BEAT THIS MAN.
The usage of those graphical clips is a straight forward and is justifiable to proof his point on what COULD HAVE happen, no subliminal crap to fool people. Whats naive is to think, how the government made people to believe that the graff artist look like a serial killer. The person that we should really call out to serves no other than the one leading it. Mans gotta point.
if u guys cannot see the fear tactic employed by SDP when he used graphical clips of real bombings and comparisons to drive home his point, u are very naive.
Yes, there's an issue with security with the latest incident, but to link to to an actual bombing would involve a systemic failure on the entire country's infrastructure. Which is too much to conclude based on one instance.
hey, i believe the security in singapore has been scrutinized and recognized, but not rectified. there are security cams setting up (in progress). on the other note, being a PAP supporter for its contribution to the public, i believe this statement from our minister is a sign of irresponsibly.
also, i believe it takes courage and ball of steel to do the right thing for the public. sadly, now i have the fear of see-ing my parents taking public transport.
Isn't it ironic that we have security videos flashing on the MRT platforms to warn us to keep vigilant and yet it is SMRT/LTA the ones who are not doing their job?
please lah stupid sdp spain is anti-islam they all hate islam sdp is the most stuipd party ever that why u always lose u talk and talk but never help singaporean not like SDA and WP that keep winnig because they got help singaporean GET A LIFE STUPID SDP
don't be stupid lah, what bloody media you talking about other than the gahmen mouthpiece the states times has given it a fair picking? If CSJ didn't voice out all these pertinent points in the video, then who will?
Wait for you ah tonyxiao1971? Don't make me laugh.

We sacrifice freedom for security. This kind of security is pathetic. What if terrorist plant bomb there? The gov say we cannot be complacent but what about them.It takes two hands to clap.Is this the future we envisioned?
as a singapore citizen or anywhere in the world, security lapse discovered in gray area in singapore and have been address, recognized and rectified is fine i believe. but busy pointing fingers putting blames on another party as a minister of home affairs. which i believe ministering the security structures and framework in singapore, are not doing its job when circumstance like this has gone public. :(
@MrBlackjack211:Since the gov is paid that much,They should FUCKING deliver that result. No news heard from LHL.He is shredding the responsibility of a PM.TO US ,MIND YOU.Security is the most important.

Come on..aren't you doing the same..'ride on issues already addressed by the SDP and alternative media'..
thank you for providing cheap thrills too, :)
It good to have Dr Chee speaking up and addressing this issue. He brought up some points that is worth our time to think about.
Think and form opinion.Sometime people look bright or smart until the point they 'open their mouth'

So typical of Chee Soon Juan and SDP!
Nothing better to do than to ride on issues already addressed and pick-up by the media, and try to gain political miles out of it...cheap thrill!
Bunch of 马后炮!
