  • I had that happen to my 1082. I had to send it back to the factory, they said that the firewire output on the unit was damaged. I don't see how as I plugged it in when I first got it and never changed the cable, it just started blinking one day. It was still under warranty and I had to pay for shipping but I got it back and it's been fine for over a year now (knocking on wood). Good luck
