@lilwhiteguy In all seriousness though Evanescence is American poser crap that does "rap metal" as well so it can be radio friendly. So comparing them to someone like Nightwish, Epica, Xandria, etc is like trying to compare Nickleback to Nirvana. And yeah, that is offensive to real musicians.

Now if people were trying to say Within Temptation sucks but Xandria rules, then that's just silly because what you say applies, because neither are posers trying to cash in by releasing soulless crap.

those goth metal/ goth rock bands exist long before Evanescence was founded, Evanescence goes a way more poppy way cause thats the reason anyone knows cause the majors found out that this will sell more. So if you hear Evanenscence it will tell us youre "Mainstream" and ask really Goth or Metal Fans thats something they never want to be.

If you would suggest to say that Evanenscence stepped onto a train that exist for a long time this would suit it perfectly.
