This is possibly the easiest trick to do off a kicker, anyone that can ride switch will nail this 1st time, second time at most. Much easier than a straight up 180.

yea i go backwards all the time on them and turning is a little bit easier and mostly you feel way more like i guess secure because you dont have to worry about the flat ends sticking into something, especially when landing

Metalhead try going backwards sideways on the hills. Try thinking ur back tip are ur front tips and viseversa and what u would normlly do forward.

When riding switch or starting out riding switch kind of get a gorilla stance going. legs evenly apart with your head over your left shoulder sort of hunched down. once you get past that you can eventually get yourself to ski the same way as if you were skiing reg.

And how you land if you land nicely without twin tips you're fine.

Twin tips just eliminate the fact of your skis digging into the back and they flex a bit more then normal skis.

Man, so many park skiers really suck at explaining things. Being able to do something is great but it doesn't mean you should be teaching it. This guys explaination of what to do when you get to the lip is "you just pop". If he skied up to the lip and said "okay now is the time to 180" it would have been better explained.

Most people who are starting out doing ski tricks will not go as "big" as this the first couple of times, so they WILL need to throw their arms or twist their legs in order to get all the way around.

u can land backwards without twin tips u just gota learn forward ( A LITTLE BIT, NOT A LOT) although..if ur in really powder-y snow it won't work out too well). I ski on the east coast where its tightly packed groomed snow 95% of the time,landing backwards without twin tips aint the best idea but its possible
