  • Is that Bill Bruford on the drums?

  • @Chentinno Nope. I think it's Pip Pyle from Hatfield and the North. Whatever, any drummer playing with Gong is going to be a hotshot.

  • I saw Gong do this show in 1972 with all the hippies when it was still cool to smoke at Gong gig..it was hard to see the stage...too much smoke! I long for those days when Gong was new!

  • Awesome stuff, each of the eras of Gong has it's own unique appeals, Love the blend of avant/progressive music and performance art/theater. And the synth/guitar/drum/vocal blend is unique and hypnotic. The drumming is KICKING!

  • Amazing.

  • Brings back stunning memories of being a stoned student in the 80's.....

  • i hate to say it cause i love gong and daevid allen so much but this is definately gong at their worst

  • No crystal machine!

  • No, Gong was at its worst when Pierre ran the show. Practically nothing but marimba/glockenspiel/ xylophone with a few bass riffs thrown in by Hansford Rowe. Quite empty.

  • Incredible.
