  • Will you please send me his HAHR number if he is registered half-arab, and more info. I am interested in breeding to him if I can get more info on him and his get and a few pictures... Thank you

  • Lovely! We've had trakehners for about 18 years...gotta love them! The arab cross we've done once...and the mare is much loved by her owners who bred the dam. We just had a sweepstakes mare given to us last year, and I am waffling on breeding her to our trakehner...or to the dutch that she is a proven producer with. Sigh. Where can I find out more about Khataba's bloodlines, location, etc.

  • Khataba+ is residing in Scottsdale, AZ. Next year will be his first breeding year. Markel Insurance has requested that Khataba+ be on their Arabian Collector's Series Number 21 poster. I'm working on a website for him now. Please keep him in mind if you are interested in breeding your mare. "Khat" is a super fancy mover and great Sporthorse. Thanks for the compliment.

  • Were you happy with the arab/trakenner breed together? We are think9ng about breedingour arab to a trakenner. Is he up for stud? Please reply

  • Yes, he will be available for stud next year, his first year of breeding. I bred purebred arabians until 1996 when I first crossed my arab mares to the Trakehner stallion, Graditz. I bred 5 mares to him and all are "keepers". I am buying a Trakehner mare right now as my foundation mare. I love the cross - great ridability, smart, athletic and beautiful too. Khataba+ is the only living arab/trak by Graditz (he died years ago). I live in Scottsdale, AZ. I would love for you to breed to my boy.

  • We live in Ct. Could u do shipped semen??? I Would love to breed my horse to him!!! Keep me posted.

  • I am thrilled that you would choose my stallion. Please provide your address and I will be glad to send you more info. Yes, I will be shipping semen. If you come to the show in Scottsdale next year in February I would love to show Khataba to you so you could see for yourself what an amazing animal he is...how sensitive and kind he is. I am purchasing a purebred Trakehner mare to breed to Khat next season and the foal will be for sale if you are interested. The foal should be a 10+!

  • That is SUCH great news that he's doing better! It would be wonderful if he could go back into training. He brings a lot of light into the barn and is a pleasure to work with.

  • Julie really did a great job with him, and seemed to have bonded with him throughout the process. He was always one of my favorites at the barn--always so sweet. I just hope he isn't rushed into breeding, so that way he'll be more mature by then, and keep his sweet personality and maybe even be able to get back into training again, as he could have gone far (as you know). Maybe I'm being over protective of my old buddy, but I'd hate to see him change so drastically, as breeding them can do.

  • I couldn't be happier that you are over protective of my boy. Last week he got his clearance to go back into training from stem cell surgery and is 100% sound. That surgery is such a miracle. He's got plenty of time to breed. Don't worry, I don't want him to change either. Right now he loves being home and I love it, he's so affectionate, kind, sensitive, and playful. Khat is one in a million! He's lucky he's got so many people who care about him. Thanks for commenting.

  • wow beautiful horse!

  • Thank you for such a nice compliment!

  • You are so welcome! I have watched this video like 50 times and I could watch it 50 more! I just love how he moves. So graceful! I think this is my new favorite breed. Arabians are now my second favorite. I had never really heard of Trakehners before but I am definitely interested in them now!

  • I will be breeding Khat possibly later in the Spring or next year for the first time. I've got to tell you, he is the most sensitive, caring, loving animal I have ever owned. Khat plays kissy face with my big dog every evening when I feed and never has he ever bitten my dog! They lick each others faces until they are wet. He is just amazing and will make a GREAT SIRE!!! Let me know if you would ever want to breed a mare to him. Thanks for your very kind comments.

  • You are so welcome! I have watched this video like 50 times and I could watch it 50,000 more! I love the way he moves. I think trakehner/arabs are my new favorite breed! Lol Thanks for the video!

  • Yes, a beautiful boy! I am just getting into the Arab/Trak cross and Anglo/Trak cross and I love them! Congrats on the USDF Horse of the YR!!!

  • what a gorgeous boy! i love arabians and trakehners, though, personally, I do not enjoy riding many of them because I feel like their is nor enough barrel underneath my legs. they are cute to watch though. i also like akhal tekes

  • Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I know what you mean. When I ride a large horse and get on one of my arabians it feels strange, but in the end I prefer the arabian or arab/trak cross because they are like riding sportscars, lots of forward motion, sensitive to the touch, and they love to please.

  • tracks are the best horses ever ! i love them !

  • I love them too! My stallion has the best personality. He's a comedian and makes me laugh every day.

  • loll ! so sweet ! :D

  • Beautiful horse! I was never a Trakehner fan until we got my mare she is sooo lovely very smart as well I just started riding dressage I really enjoy it:)

  • Thank you for the compliment. Yes, I think Trakehner's and Arabians sometimes get a bad rap, but it's usually by someone who has never owned one of these beautiful and smart creatures. Once you've found them you will never go back. Enjoy every minute of your time with your mare, she sounds wonderful.

  • was that arena westworld az?

  • Yes.

  • cool i just got finsh showing there!they have really nice barns!

  • o my gosh! he is beautiful! and he floates! i love how he works hard at everything he does, and he trusts the rider (or handler in the freejumping vid) hes amazing! i so want to breed my mare to him now but i think my girl would sorta not be good enough for him and considering i love her and i think shes georgous thats sayin something about ur amazing stallion! i luvs him!!!

  • Thank you so much for the compliment. He's my boy!

  • He is beautiful! I love arabian horses. They are so beautiful and special. And they have a golden heart.

I use to train an arabian horse in dressage riding. He is really bad at jumping but in the dressage riding he's doing everything you ask him to do. He's the most amazing horse I've ever met.

  • Yes, I agree. They have such heart that they become your best friend and partner. Sometimes I think Khataba speaks english, he understands me so well!

  • Yes and he is FABULOUS! I am so jealous. What a wonderful animal you have!

  • Beautiful horse with a very nice head. Actually the whole horse is nice but I especially like the face.

  • Thanks for the comment. "Khat" has very big brown expressive eyes like his arabian mother, soft teacup muzzle & the noble look of his Trakehner sire, GRADITZ. He got his name because he would play like a cat when he was a youngster; jumping into the air & doing all kinds of acrobatics unlike any horse I had ever seen. He's so light on his feet, he's my little dancer. Did you see the video of Khat free jumping on YouTube?
