32 c is Johnny Callaway's racing numbers. Johnny is the hero of the period hot rod film DEUCE OF SPADES, which was released on 11/14/10 - visit deuceofspades period com for more info. "c" stood for "street roadster" back in the day. Basically a roadster that was raced but could alco be legally driven on the streets.
@3arntzen I believe, back in the day (circa 1955-1960) the drag racing rules for street driven cars was a formula of total car weight divided by cubic inches of engine displacement. Class A was like 8-pounds per cubic inch and less; Class B was 8.01 to 10.0 pounds per cu. in. and class C was like 10.01 to maybe 12.0 or something like that. I raced a class 'B' back in the day (2900 lb car with 354 cid). I had to put a little wieght in the trunk to keep from being in class A
Nice car, but a Flathead would be a better period engine choice. Olds, Chrysler, Caddy and maybe Buick would also work. Chevy was too new in 1955 to likely make it into a Hot Rod at that time. Maybe they work around this in the movie, have to wait and see. Flatheads Forever!!
Man, I'd kill to know a second language as well as she knows mine. As far as I'm concerned, she can talk any way she wants if I get to put my head on her shoulder as she drives me into the sunset in her Deuce. Rowr!
