I don't know if you have it fixed now, but sometimes it is not the camera drivers that need upgraded, but the usb and firewire ports that need the upgrade. You may have done that in the past, and forgot about it. Also, motherboard chipsets upgrades also upgrade other things too, like miniports and usb's. They are almost always free.
