Amazing song, so great to hear the commentary, I remember when Carson Daly on TRL asked her what "Skeeter" meant and she wouldn't answer ... now we know why. We all go through pain and suffering in our lives but it takes a special kind of person to be as brave as Tori and put her pain out there and deal with it and exorcise her demons so publicly, for all too see .... LOVE YOU TORI!
@ GreatGarloo, that line sticks with me too. I always thought it was a shout out to The higher power, so calculating and undiscriminating, that it could destroy something as soft and innocent as ice cream

I love this video and cd (Choirgirl Hotel). This song is so beautiful/sad/haunting.
All these years and the line that sticks with me still is: "Trusting my soul to the Ice Cream Assassin". Have no idea what it means but the imagery it conjures in my head is disturbing.
This has been, hands down, my favorite Tori Amos video ever. It is reminiscent of the times when MTVs were actually thought of well, directed well, and synchronized with the intention of the song ... as opposed to the obvious parade of sex and taboos on TV nowadays.
Simple yet haunting. It broke so many standards of a good alternative video. It simply excelled on all accounts.
After seeing these Tori audio commentaries that you posted, I downloaded Fade to Red only to realize that it's only audio (duh) and the videos weren't shown as she was speaking! I was sooooo disapointed!! What you did with the videos and commentary is wonderful! I wish this was actually on the damn dvd!
@frankierocks78 It isn't? Oh that's bad, I actually downloaded the videos and noticed that they had 3 audio channels, one of them with the commentaries.
@LucifersTreasure No, on the actual DVD, you can CHOOSE to either listen to her songs, or hear her commentaries. You guys should really just BUY the DVD, and not download the videos :(
She is one inspirational woman.

Own it, Tori. Don't explain it away. The work should stand on its own. You don't need to dumb it down for us--especially don't "apologize"

I've seen this video numerous times but never heard her commentary - very insightful! And she was a Twin Peaks fan? Too cool...

"But she couldn't keep baby alive" so powerful
so judgmental on her part.
So smart to put in a song.
Tori know her self
she sees beauty and sorrow.
Skitter would have been proud to have such a playboy mommie

This video is so haunting. It complements the song really well, and the attention to little details makes it one of Tori's best. Thanks for posting!
