  • You should do the death waltz or "U.N. owen was her" on Mario paint. if you do, I am totally Subscribing, Liking, and Favoriting.

  • EPic win, good sir. Sub added.

Coincidentally, I found tFinal Fhe antasy VI OSV Disc 1 thing at a bookstore near me. And it was totally worth the purchase. It's an import, it seems.

Especially considering that Kefka's theme is listed as Cefca.

  • In this one, once you hit play and look away, you almost can't tell that the music is hampered by the limitations of mario paint, and thus is born a perfect illusion and complete immersion in music. The point is to be at a concert in front of an orchestra and programatticall be actually experiencing the music, rather than "I'm in the crowd watching an orchestra" You've perfected this. When I navigate to similar songs by other people, The immersion is instantly broken. Keep it up.

  • I have to hand it to you sir, One of the problems i have with most mario paint renditions is that during musically stressful/complicated parts people tend to mishear some notes and get them wrong, like I believe youre the only one on youtube to get 1:23 correct. The other notes, although quick and usually not dissonent, on other songs stick out like a sore thumb to me. Also you manage not to neglect the rhythmic parts, which most pianists or composers tend to be lax in. Grats. Perfect.

  • that is so awesome, it's like battling Atma Weapon all over again

  • wow, i'm surprised the software could do this....

    amazing.

  • Wow, the best ver if seen so far. GJ:D

  • This reminds me of fighting the ghost train...

  • good, but check out kacelano's version

  • @smud08 Hell yeah, very good rendition. Accurate to the very last beat.

The difference with mine is that I try to maintain the original soundfont as much as possible because I think that limitation is what makes music on Mario Paint so unique and entertaining.

  • @smud08

TomBobBlender, for instance, takes it a step further and uses the original SNES version of the composer, which has more length restrictions, a smaller tone and tempo range, and no sharps/flats. Personally, I think that many restrictions just makes most songs sound way too drab, and the challenge to recreate something in that way isn't fun or entertaining to me. The point, though, is to see what you can do with limited resources.

  • Woah, that was awesome!

  • Thanks for the comments, guys. :)

  • RESPEKT SIR^^

  • I LOVE THE TRIPLET DRUM BEAT.

  • Comment removed

  • I am in awe. *standing ovation*

  • OMG! This is awesome! Best one!

  • @serku Thanks!

  • Wow, sounds almost exactly identical (apart from the bass drum sounding noise)

  • *Gradually drops his jaw*

Damn, This one is Awesome! =D

  • Glad you like it!

  • You are my hero.

  • w00t!

  • lol

    5 stars

  • Awesome - thanks.

  • the percussion rocks:D

  • I thought it was important to capture the percussion, because yes, the percussion rocks this song. :)

  • @kyoopihd

    you did great bro:D

  • Thanks!

  • GRUUUUUUU.......

  • omg donot hit teh shel

  • Now thats what I call skill.

someone must have alot of free time in order to make something this epic.

  • Thanks a lot!

Actually, at the time I made this, I didn't have a lot of free time at all. I'd only spend an hour or so at a time working on it, so it was a project that took a while - not something I did in one sitting or even in a day or two.

  • Holy shit... That was just totally awesome.

  • I only know this song because you used it in your own vid.

  • Amazing...I'm almost tempted to say that it's as good as the original SNES version. And you nailed the drum track, 5/5 stars.

  • Thanks a lot! :)

  • Insanely high tempo allows for it to sound smoother than most MP compositions yeah? Anyway it's a masterpiece. Best take on the song I've heard.

  • I see. Sorry, I've never used MPC

  • Sure thing - I had no problem explaining it. :)

  • Tempo 1800...

Can't you just change the time signature and then decrease the tempo?

  • nope, it would be too slow if you tried to do it like so...

  • this 1 is way better then the other one

    5/5 n fave

  • This sounds awesome

  • Wicked brilliant!

(bet you never expected anyone to say anything like that!)

  • This needs to be heard moar. Seriously. D:

  • Another smash hit 5/5. :D

  • Incredible, I'm not sure why this video isn't getting the views it deserves. This is the best I've ever seen.

  • The pimped out version of decisive battle nice!!

  • Tempo just right, pitch correct. 5/5 stars!

  • This is definetely excellent, but I prefer when it is done with a slower tempo as it makes creating a viable sound more difficult and more interesting to listen to. That said, you utilized your choices quite well.

  • It does allow him to do some amazing drum sequences, though.

  • holy fuck how did i not notice this video before. you totally shit on the other videos of this. the best make of this song on youtube by far

  • Thanks for the comments, all!

  • HORRIBLE.....THE OTHERS ARE HORRIBLE COMPARED TO YOUR AWESOME MARIO PAINT SKILLS!

    you are the man!

  • 5/5

  • Good job! 5*!

  • Awesome job.

  • this song is amazing. it was one of my favorites ever in a ffgame

and you deserve WAY more than just 1,500 views.

this is DEFINITELY one of the BEST version i've ever seen for mario paint.

For you, I give no virtual cookies, but I give KUDOS!

  • This deserves more views. Really good job with this. 5/5 and favorite!

  • probably one of the most accurate remakes ive ever heard

    5/5

  • Wow, this is one of the only actually good mario paint remakes I've heard.

  • its a pity this only has 500 views. It's so much better than the other attempts that have nearly 100k.

  • I agree. This is my favorite one out there.

  • Yeah, I should really credit theEvilGrimace for the idea of super high speeds (aka "dickspeed" according to KarmaJolt =D) to get more sounds and varying volumes for each instrument. I do like to make complex songs that are super high speeds like this, but they are harder to watch for the general audience. It's more fun for most people to actually SEE what's going on. =D

  • Yeah, I know what you mean.

Earlier, I just got done watching and favoriting someone else's video of this song on mario paint, and then I found yours. Ive got to say, this one's a LOT BETTER!! Im replacing that favorite with yours! <3

Truley, you did an amazing job.

    5 golden stars!

  • Crazy.

  • Wow, nice job dude. I need to learn to make songs at nigher tempos like that.

  • nigher = higher*

  • That was awesome. If there is a better main boss theme in a video game I have never heard it.

  • Excellent!!! Favorited!

  • One of the most awesome ones I've EVER EVER EVER EVER seen!

  • Very awesome.

  • Pure win!
