I think shiva only has four arms, but the Azura is known to have six, albeit with three heads or faces as well, so maybe they thought of Shiva more, but its all Buddhism

mate, seriously, this is a 4 minute battle tops. Don't worry about getting all of the arms when fighting him with the swords. just get one arm, then go in with the sword and knock his legs out. Expedience mate, expedience.

You only need 1 of Koloktos' sword to take off his legs. Makes the fight much easier on boss rush mode.

This boss IS very tough. I also first went in without any potions to revitalize me. Bad decision, there; worth reloading at the bazaar. The only hearts are inside pillars that can only be destroyed by Koloktos' swords. (Not shown above: you can chop the pillars.) It doesn't have to take 16 minutes to defeat, though. It's also really hard to switch to whip during a hot battle without activating some other weapon by accident.

Key here: Listen for that sound that precedes the slash downward.

I don't get why everyone claims its expression changes, I see no changes at all..

and there's a little problem with Skyward Sword's boss fights, it's both too easy and too hard to do the right thing on accident, just by flailing and trying,. so when you do what you're supposed to (like chop off its legs) you might not even realize you did it, then later have no idea what to do.. but you also might try something you're supposed to do, fail, and think you're not supposed to.

I didn't know what the hell I was doing the first time around... now, fighting him a few times through te Dragon trial thingy, I can put him away in about 4 min w/o damage, as I'm sure anyone can. What makes him a great boss is his aesthetic design, music, attacks, weapons. He's just very well thought out.

Well, nearly all enemies do at least 1 heart of damage per hit.

It's hard to compare the difficulty, though, because of the different controls.

I've just beaten this boss today, and it's definitely much harder than the first three bosses.

It'll probably become even harder later in the game.

And even if you think it's too easy, there's apparently a Hero Mode after you beat the game.

In that mode, no hearts appear anywhere, so you'll have to rely on potions to heal.

I just beat this boss about an hour ago. My problem with past Zelda bosses is that I thought they were all way too easy, so it's nice to go up against a boss that isn't a pushover on the first go. This one is my favorite so far. I hope the others are as well crafted.

An ongoing repetitive battle. I know your supposed to repeat the attack on this boss 3 times until it's down, but couldn't it have a few "sneaky" moves instead of repeating it's own pattern of attacks? Take a few hits and find its weakness; learn from action.
