The first one had a great distorted synth melody, but lacked some really hard beats. This one is just sounds sped up, without the ominous sounding distortion. V2 sounds too much like the Mortal Kombat theme.
V2 is an interesting experiment, but I encourage you to go back to the first version, keep that slower tempo and give it some loud bass-heavy beats (maybe with synth-operatic vocals in quieter spots). The darker the better! I think you can make the best Imperial March remix that way.
