I would just like to say that my neighbor died this week at 77. He was a life long Phillies fan dating back to the Shibe Park days. Im just glad he got to go out as them being the World Champions of Baseball!

close. its the A's that im a fan of. they were i think it was 3 1/2 games behind the Angels at the All-Star break and then they traded away just about all of their good players. wtf! and now they are terrible. they were the coldest team in the second half of the season. and of course, i see a former A's pitcher who goes by the name of Joe Blanton help the Phillies win the World Series. im sure everyone knows he was traded to them mid-season. good job Philles i have to say to that though.

I actually have liked the A's for a long time myself, I started following them back in 87 when they drafted McGwire, it crushed me when they lost in 88, I was about 14 then, I taped the games and all. They sure did trade away the team, which stinks!
