Hey I dry burned and my clearo stopped working too, did yours fire back up marco? Did one and worked flawlessly then did another and it quit. Any ideas?
it's OK now:) but at the first time i was drying too long and damaged the coil, it just stopped reacting to the battery...now i know i should have been more careful on that:) thx
I followed the video as close as possible and now the clearo won't fire at all. The battery doesn't respond. The battery will turn on with other clearos, though. Any thoughts?
@ShadoEnt maybe i'm saying crap and worring for nothing, but when you overheat those deposit (residues) their molecules might transform in something harmful that will then someway remain in the device and be absorbed by the wick and eventually inhaled when you vape. i think we shouldn't apply science if we're not 100% sure of the consequences.
@ultimateballa910 The tubes are what usually take a dumper early, cracking, stretching, getting loose, etc...but the insides have been able to go 3-5 months.
I have done this twice with one of my clearomizers and it works wonderfully. I was afraid it would burn out the coil by getting it that hot for so long, but, to my surprise, I didn't, and the mizer worked like new and it still going strong. Thank you for your helpful information on this!
Pretty much exactly what I was looking for re the dry burn. But that little plastic seal doesnt make a lot of difference. I like you coiuld not get it out. Just take the tube off and then pop it out of the tube. Then put the seal in upside down, its only there to stop juice coming out. Nothing more. It actually wicks better that way because there is more room for the threads.
@pbusardo Its possible, Im sure....but I have been doing this way of cleaning and dry burning on all my E2's since September....and those cartos are still going just fine. My original 2 opened are still my daily vapers.
If I can get 2-3 months life from Clearos cleaning this way...Im a happy vaporer....
@pbusardo If it does then its no more than the crud alone reduces the life/useability. I have gotten WAY more life out of them by dry burning. If you dont, they just crud up and stop wicking, useless at that point, so dry burn em.
@ShadoEnt I agree, I usually dont bother, but if it must be done. Another way is to just let it fill with a bit of water and shake it up. Im also talking about regular CE2's, where removing the tank is impossible to simply clean it.
I have one that seems to condensate more than the others....other than pulling the tank off and getting something inside to really dry it out....I just try and shake out as much as I can, then fill and vape.
cheers i ended up just using a hairdryer which worked well, i figured out that the snipping of the indents which gives more room to the wick in the third circle helps the wicking immensely and stops the dry burn, i watched another vid where the guy just turns around the third ring and pulls up the wicking a little bit which seems like itll work just as good and save the hassle of snipping the ring and tryin to get it back in lol thanks 4 ur help mate
Good to hear....I thought about hair dryer, but figured you may not want to go to that length for condensation fix.
I flip all my inner seals on my metal tank E2's, but the tank has a better pressure fit and is sturdier than the Clearo's, once you flip it on the Clearo....the only area to hold it together will be at the batt.
You should edit about 5 min off that dry burn time and repost. Other than that, this was a simply explained but informative video on the process. Great job, and thank you very much.
Thank You for the compliment...always good to hear things like this help others out.
I originally thought about doing that...then decided I wanted folks to see the whole process no stop. I had several telling me in the past that they were not DB long enough...so, this way, they get the whole show.

How long do clearomizers usually last you by cleaning them the way you do?

Aren't you SERIOUSLY reducing atty life by dry burning for that long?

hey...where did you get that awesome Syringe?
WarriorDyke 1 year ago
@WarriorDyke That one came from Dawn at DIY Flavorshack....and the carto condoms, yep, I kept them from my polyfill cartos.

To clean out the tank, and the wick, use a long needle that will fit beside the ceramic and stick it in there flush it out. Works well!!
ArionRaine 1 year ago
@ArionRaine I have done that before....it just wound up being more hassle for me...if I really want to clean the tanks...I just pull them off...

how are clearomizers different from the cartomizers other than the obvious clear construction and the use of wick?

Have you tried this with denatured alcohol? That works for regular attys for me!
danielwow12 1 year ago
@danielwow12
I dont /wont put anything in my gear that I wont put in my mouth....so..no....however I do use it to clean the threads on attys and batts though.
I do use Everclear once in awhile if needed.
