Ten Ren is my favorite tea shop, I get my jasmine Pearl from their Chicago location. I lady at another tea store in Chicago told me her jasmine didn't have insecticides and that was why it cost almost $3 more per ounce and she only had one variety. Not sure if that was true or not. I still buy from ten Ren, I guess everything we consume has its risks.
@brianhbmb If you have been drinking teas for a while, then you will know how the different teas should taste. Otherwise, you just have to trust your instinct. Don't let them shake-you-down with higher prices though.
Ten Ren is good too. I get jasmine Pearl at their Chicago location. Someone from another store told me to beware of insecticides in certain teas, but its not something we can detect from sight or taste. I guess everything we intake has it ups and Downs..
That was s lot of tea for that small pot. You could brew that tea a few more times. Do you order from Taiwan? My friend orders off of a store on eBay that has some good stuff. We usually get oolong loose its about $5 per ounce for the compition grades.
No, sir. Why do you lave your teapot stained? I am very curious to know, please tell. Thanks.

Yes, you are probably right. Fine teas are still pretty new to me.
