There were lots of tactics involved in line battles, but battles like this would actually make fighting in a line less effective. Oh well, it still looks like a lot of fun. They said it was impossible to make a fun revolutionary war shooter, and here it is!

whats funny in the game is when they were in the water how they fire when they were black powder

When you go underwater your powder does get wet and if you had previously loaded your weapon it becomes unloaded. You have to reload again. I guess you could say they had their other cartridges sealed in their box or something.

What is wrong with some guys cause they tell everyone to go into line what does it help...nothing cause when everybody shoot same time it gives other change to use spikes in the tip of the gun or use "machinegun" that works like somebody shooting and all the time somebody shoots and reloads like machinegun

Usually line battles are fought at such a distance that by the time it takes somebody to charge the line with a bayonet the whole line has reloaded and you have 20 guys all aimed at the guy charging. And there are no machineguns.

I mean like at when somebody shoots.some other reloads,so here is always a loaded gun and it is like machinegun because your army shoots all the time,i know the muskets where not accurate and their only goal was to hit anything that is enemy because of inaccuracy it is good that they are in line but if they only used some advanced tactics not only the line,

Well the real tatic was, ONe line would shoot, and the line behind thos ppl are all ready loaded and waiting form them to shoot, as there done shooting they move to the back of the line and reload as and other line moves up to the 2nd line and wait for the 1st line to shoot, and just repeat.

people try that with this game but the smoke obscures the aim, it is hard to manuver the line, and it is a big target. But if we had real discipline, and more men it would prolly be better.

@aapch1 From what I understand what you really need is the source sdk. I believe that half life 2, team fortress 2, any of the episodes, counter strike source, day of defeat source, and perhaps even left 4 dead will work. The only one I am absolutely certain about though is half life 2.

Colonial is fucking old. Why would I wait for a twenty second reload? There is a reason why we use current technology now, its because we got fucking tired of reloading that slow and made newer guns lol

Its old but not ancient. And who cares about a 20 second reload, it still is fun. And the reason we even got to Muskets is because we advanced, so obviously were going to advance farther. Do you think they only made new guns because of the reload? No. They made new weapons for all aspects.

its a half life 2 mod. google battlegrounds half life 2 mod, download it and then install it. (you most have a steam acount whit half life 2 to play it).
